    [4e][Paragon] Kombat Kraziness (closed)

Can't say about low levels as I haven't any experience of 4e PbP for those, but I think things are moving along nicely. I get my turn a couple of times a week, usually with some hard choices to make. So, about the same with regard to PbP, with of course the normal differences between 3e and 4e.

    A Paladin's Challenge

Say you're a human in plate armor and 8 squares from an enemy you want to mark. You can move close enough for charge distance (which is 5 squares since plate reduces speed), Divine Challenge the enemy, and then charge. If Divine Challenge was a Melee power, however, you would have to move...

    A Paladin's Challenge

The reason that the paladin can mark at a range is so that they can charge a target they have marked instead of having to charge first. At least, that's what I think, not sure if that will matter that often even.

[KK2]Encounter 2: Warm up is over. (Healing)

Xak takes a swing at the shambling mound that he has been engaging, attempting to gather divine energy to shield himself. His attack misses, however, so he is without extra protection. Bolstering Strike vs Shambler 2 AC (1d20+15=17, 1d10+9=17) Hospitaler's Blessing might become relevant (allies...

(CSRHoD) Creamsteak's Red Hand of Doom II [IC]

Siobhan let out a long breath to calm herself from the rush of battle. She then slung the warhammer to her hip and pulled out the wand she had crafted a few days earlier. She tapped the wand near Pender's wounds, and then Larian's. Use Wand of Lesser Vigor on Pender and Larian, healing both 11hp...

I think it's because there isn't any special rules regarding using only light weapons, and it would be awfully comical that someone could swing a greatsword while being engulfed/entagled inside a mass of vines and leaves.

[KK2]Encounter 2: Warm up is over. (Healing)

"Now you're just pissin' me," Xak spits at the Shambler next to him. He calls Kord's just and watchful eye on the plant even as he smites it. The divine energies flowing through him bolster him to move on, despite the injuries he has sustained. Divine Challenge Shambler 2. Invigorating Smite vs...

(CSRHoD) Creamsteak's Red Hand of Doom II [IC]

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that," Siobhan says to the ogre, swinging her warhammer squarely into its side. Warhammer vs Ogre (1d20+11=27, 1d8+5=13) Much better than last time.

(CSRHoD) Creamsteak's Red Hand of Doom II [IC]

Noting that his friend is almost at the brink of death, Siobhan asks Kord to heal Pender's wounds. Cast Cure Moderate Wounds, defensively Concentration +12 (DC 17). Heals 2d8+8

Siobhan tightens her grip on the shield they found on their way here as she moves into the fray, hoping the two ogres are too distracted to land serious blows on her. As she gets close enough, she swings her warhammer towards the closer ogre. Move next to Pender and attack the lower ogre...

(CSRHoD) CS's Red Hand of Doom [OOC]

Or go through the DnD Mini pics on Wizards' site like I did. They've got some halfling that might match, IIRC.

Here's an image to represent Siobhan. Not fully representative, but close enough for comfort.

[KK2]Encounter 2: Warm up is over. (Healing)

The dwarven paladin calls on the fortifying spirit of Kord to free himself from within the shambler. Emerging from between the strands, Xak tears a sizable chunk of the plant with him. Minor: Cleansing Spirit save (1d20+2=8) Move for Minor: Divine Mettle (1d20+4=20). Appear in L-17. Standard...

    [4e][Paragon] Kombat Kraziness (closed)

Note that Xak can't currently be damaged, no matter what you do. When (if?) he finally gets out, he can exit in any adjacent square so he can probably evade the Blade Barrier. But yeah, Enveloped is a tad boring in a play-by-post. Not to mention the fact that nobody can help him make a save...

[KK2]Encounter 2: Warm up is over. (Healing)

Xak tries to free himself from within the shambler, but fails. I believe the no LoE/LoS clause means that Xak himself can't attack anyone either. If he can make attacks against the enveloping Shambler, then he will use Bolstering Strike (+15; 1d10+9 AND 4 tempHP). Save vs Enveloped (1d20=4)
