    How so? Starting bonuses to Defenses don't stack at least in Saga, so going from a high Defense to low Defense doesn't affect the score at all. Now, choosing a class with a different good starting Defense does get you better overall Defense scores.

    I don't think Endurance would be "I sit still untill the clues come out", it would be more "I'm searching this place, and I'm going to keep at it untill something turns up". Not to mention that personally I feel that "looking for clues in a room" is probably a touch too narrow for a skill...

    We've known for a while that the stat modifier listed next to the ability scores in the stat block (which are not the actual modifier, but the bonus it uses for things such as ability checks) are the old modifier (score/2-5) plus ½ the creature's level.
