Your personal stats per standard array?

Hmm... STR: 8 DEX: 13 CON: 10 INT: 12 WIS: 15 CHA: 14 Strength is low because of the below-average bench presses I made while in Secondary School. Out of all the stats today, I believe that Strength is easily the "dump stat" for a lot of people. :p I've put my dexterity at thirteen because of...

    Reading Group--Caesar's Legion

There's actually an RPG called FVLMINATA out there somewhere that addresses that question directly... Imagine if Rome never fell as it did... Imagine how different the world would be!

Insanely dangerous things you can throw at low level players fairly

Ghouls and Ghasts... ick, those are pretty tough challenges... especially in numbers. Sure, the Fort Save is relatively low, but what if you have to make several of them per encounter, or per round?

    PC's changing the world

Hehe, that doesn't sound like much help, to be honest, man. "You see here, this is the Library of Congress, it has perhaps the largest collection of human knowledge in North America. I'm sure there's something here that you can find to help you out." ;) :D I think you've hit it on the nose...

    Reading Group--Caesar's Legion

Hey all, Just bought the book today, and from what I've read so far... :D I'll obviously have some catching up to do, but I'll keep my eye on this thread.

    YAAT Good is just passe?

"Hero" I was always of the mind that the term "Hero" doesn't necessarily refer to one's virtue, or moral worth... Checking the entry for "hero" and "heroism" on dictionary.com, it appears that my suspicions were (at least partially) correct. An act of heroism is the display of great courage...

    YAAT Good is just passe?

Dinkeldog quoted Zerovoid saying "I completely second your second argument. I care about my own life way more than any PC's life, and am much more loathe to risk it." I think there's some real wisdom in this sentence... You see, in D&D, we have the privilege of knowing that there is an...

    YAAT Good is just passe?

This is definately something to keep in mind, thanks man. :D, I guess that's true. Perhaps in a few hundred more posts, I'll get nice and jaded, :p. So perhaps mixing both intentions, motivations, and actions and reactions into the subjective "formula" would do me a bit better? Hehe...

    YAAT Good is just passe?

First off... YAAT? Second, I have to say that these types of threads are perhaps my favourite to read and post to... Anyway, I was just going to ask you all if you had some set of guidelines which help you figure out what act can be considered more or less good, more or less...

    Imagination... [OT???]

Uh... Life is Beautiful... hmm, wasn't that an Italian film?! There are more than just a few good movies out there... the fact, well, what I perceive to be fact, is that the language barrier serves as more than a mere question of technology. Simply because we're subject to the American film...

    Imagination... [OT???]

Patrick-S&S: Hehe, no problem man, I know it's not exactly a Europe v. Colonies ( :p ) thing, but I just thought I'd say what I heard, hehe. Still, Canada not far behind? Nickelback, Our Lady Peace, Matt Good, The HIP, Swollen Members, Holly McNarland, Bif Naked... It's not all about Toronto...

    Imagination... [OT???]

I heard there were some good roleplaying products coming out of France and Germany. I think there is a translated copy of Agone at my "local" gaming store. I took a look, and it seemed to be a neat game. Expensive, hehe, but neat nonetheless.

Asking myself "Why?" about gaming lately...

 It's worthwhile, but not necessarily number one on the priority list... which I consider a positive thing. What a terrible thing to say to a person! I'd caution you to use some modicum of tact when in discussion here lest you wish to be held in disrepute. That sentence...

Please rate Stonghold Builders Guide for me

Yes, I suppose this would make sense. Although, I believe that I would use sourcebooks more often than the crunchy books, too. At least, I think that the books you're talking about are setting related, as opposed to the more crunchy Stronghold Builder's Guidebook. Looking over it again, I find...

Please rate Stonghold Builders Guide for me

Eight I liked it, but not as much as other books I've picked up. It'd definately one of the best soft-cover, non-module, products that WotC's put out to date. Well, at least I think so, :). I use it whenever I need to create a stronghold that the PCs could possibly take over, .

Can someone explain Online D&D to me?

PBEM, PBP and mIRC! Oh my! :D ... ... Okay, that was lame, but still, I believe there are several ways to play a traditional RPG online: (I'm going to exclude Massive Multiplayer RPGs, and CRPGs.) 1) mIRC - (Chatroom Roleplaying) Generally an event online where the DM and the Players get...

Ever had that one player who's just on a different wavelength?

Honestly, Dreamer, I think that it's a lot more complex than that... I think you're assuming that gamers sitting around the table are good friends that hang out together outside of gaming. This is not always the case. I'm stating that simply because while it is noble to assume that gamers...

WotC Seeking Your Setting Proposals (was "Big Wizard announcement")

There's nothing wrong with new and fresh ideas, at least, I think so... As far as I know, Birthright and Darksun have things going on for them online, perhaps WotC didn't want to meddle with that... Still, I do have some desire to try it out, but at the same time, I'm not sure that I really...
