    I need more random tables!

Oh and if you like to spice up encounters, my favourite table I even put together is on En5ider. Article: Motivated Encounters. I use that one a lot :)

    I need more random tables!

I cannot support LordEntrails recommendation any more. That donjon site is unbelievable. :)

    Starting Adventures

Also, is James still the editor of EN5ider? I thought I read somewhere that he was moving on and people were free to apply for that role. Just wondering as his name and email address are still listed on the submissions page. ;)

    Starting Adventures

Hey Morrus, I am interested in submitting some short introductory and low level adventures to En5ider, but I have 1 question for you and the community: Do I need to provide the starting settlement? As in, I wish to submit some adventures that can be 'tacked on' to a settlement of choice by the...

    Special Magic Item Features: Origins

Hey, is Ari going to be a regular article writer here? I liked his EN5ider articles and he is a tempered and interesting voice on the forums here. (Not to mention some of the awesome D&D books he has written. My favs: 3E Heroes of Horror & 4E Advanced Player's Guide).

    Special Magic Item Features: Origins

These are great. Some of my favourite tables from the DMG (and 3E's DMG 2 :)).

    Special Magic Item Features: History

Yep. Love these articles. I remember 3E DMG2 had such charts and I still get them out. Love adding more to every single MI, rather than just stats and appearance.

RPG Crowdfunding News 089: Emissary Lost, Flying Circus, Monsters of Feyland, Freedom Squadron, Limi

Coriolis is one of the best buys I have made. The first Kickstarter was phenomenal. If players from my group want the core book add-on here, I think we'll go around again :)

    When the Fans Take Over

I have watched Matt's Running the Game videos and they are brilliant! Well, I think so b/c his style sounds like a complete match for my style of DMing. We have been playing the same amount of time. He approaches 'conversion' the same way as me, embraces all editions (and still uses stuff from...

Pathfinder 2E A Few Images From Erik Mona's Pathfinder 2nd Edition Presentation At GAMA

Don't worry LuisCarlos17f I think people have merely mistaken your 'tone'.

Pathfinder 2E Paizo Announces Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

Sounds interesting to me. I love any new edition of the game I love. I have lost touch with PF b/c of the amount of content and I prefer the more streamlined 5E D&D at the moment. When 3E first came out, I did like the complexity, but preferences change. For those that prefer PF stayed as it...

RPG Crowdfunding News 086: Strongholds & Streaming, Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master, The Pallid Ma

I am on board for the Strongholds & Followers. Matt and i seem to share a very similar approach to running games. (If I had to recommend to my players someone to watch on the net, it would definitely be Matt). Loved the 1st Lazy DM, so backed that too. As a group (well one of our players) we...

    Looking At Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated

So, I have the old ones. I don't tediously map everything out. In fact, just throw some down AFTER a fight has started. Don't map things out with them until a fight starts is the best way. I rarely use them, but grab the odd large tiles to sit on blacks for elevated areas. I am very fast at...

    The Cypher System Creator Roundup

I love the idea of FLavours too. I think race should get something. Especially if trying to recreate 'classic' fantasy tropes. Then again, making descriptor is like basic D&D (if that is how you like it). I didn't and prefer race to be a little more. I saw races as flavours in CypherCaster Mag...

    The Cypher System Creator Roundup

What I don't like is race as Descriptor. We created some hybrid rules where you can combine them :) It is a shame you can't have a Doomed dwarf, a Strong dwarf or a Wise dwarf... just "dwarf". :(

    The Cypher System Creator Roundup

This looks interesting. I like the idea of some standard fantasy using the Cypher system. (It would be a nice comparison). I also love the idea of publishing material :) (I just wish I had the 'production' skills for these things).

Need Adventure Design Guidance? Look To The Dungeon Master's Guide

I would have to say I am in a very similar boat. I did play 1E for a little while and loved the many tables of the DMG, but don't recall making much use of the 2E one (so perhaps it had some great advice ;)). I read the 3E one and liked and have since got back into trying to read them all.

Need Adventure Design Guidance? Look To The Dungeon Master's Guide

I am surprised at how many DMs don't actually read these too. Before 5E I set out to read/reread several GM guides. Although I thought I knew my trade very well, there are gems in most of them. I liked the 4E DMGs. The 5E one is brilliant and catered to exactly what I wanted in such a book - inc...
