I also don't really understand the need for 'conversions'. You could run the 1E Saltmarsh series with 5E straight out of the book. Do people really need official DCs for every trap and skill check? A few new stats for sahuagin etc would be very helpful and all you need. The U1-3 (Saltmarsh)...

So hoping this is a nautical themed splat book with heaps of new player and DM options. A lot of creatures too of course. More than happy for an adventure or two, but please, not more huge adventure paths. What I would really like to see are some mini-settings. A mini setting in this book...

Thanks Amethal. I am starting a new Elsir Vale campaign. I like sandbox games, but I think I will use the opening adventure among others. If PCs wish to follow this up, then perhaps we leave the vale ;) Overwatch sounds interesting.

This is awesome. I only just found this. Thank you. Also for the Cypher System. WOuld LOVE for the folks at Fria Ligan / Free League to open up the Year Zero System for this. I have converted a lot of material to that system.

The main mechanic for this has me intrigued. Sounds interesting. I like that with the one roll easy to see successes but also room for crits and fumbles :) Similar (but more expansive) to the Year Zero system.

Yes. They appear exactly like those in the D&D books rules wise. I don't have book with me if you mean are they 'suitable' for a fantasy game. Sure the lizard guys would be, but a fantasy game with others would be cool too. In fact, I have adapted a lot of sci-fi (particularity Star Wars)...

I have had this book for some time. Nice review. It IS 5E D&D for sci-fi-fantasy. The species are cool... I buy a lot of books just for races/species. The classes are so close to D&D classes that I actually had trouble gronking them conceptually. Mechanically, they are easy and 5E players...

The Expanse for #1, though I see it was on this year's list too. Savage Worlds new edition. And, as of today, Orun! :) Pathfinder 2 is up there also for a squizz.
