Wealth by level is a good thing, rules lawyers with entitlement issues are not and need a good talking to, or expulsion from the group if necessary.

I went with Meh, which is probably a bit stronger than I really feel (should be closer to Squee!). I love the ideas in 4e, I only have a few minor quibbles with it (such as, I would have preferred all the "standard" races in the 1st PHB; stuff like that).

Basic Fantasy would be perfect if it dropped non-human ability score and class restrictions (easily houseruled) and used a unified XP table (not as easily implemented, since it would increase spellcaster power significantly).

However, bracers will count against incorporeal touch attacks, if I'm not mistaken. So if you fight a lot of ghosties it's not a completely bad idea to wear both.
