If you score a threat on a target that has concealment, does the critical confirmation roll also have a 20% miss chance? I could swear I read something somewhere that said this was not the case, but maybe I'm imagining things.

Neither poll offers the category into which my group falls; that is, still playing 3.5 and keeping the option open to switch to 4e when our current campaign ends.

I would play unless it was some infamously bad rule system, the worst of the worst. I can get used to almost any system; if I don't like it at first I just keep pounding away until I do find something in the rules I can get into. :)

I've never seen it played that way by others, never heard of it being played that way (until now), never played it that way myself.

This is why I randomly roll d20s all the time, whether I need to or not, when I'm at the table (I play online now, so rolls can easily be hidden from players).

Flavor text kept separate from the rules, and easily identifiable (different font, color, size, boxed, whatever). Having to wade through fluff while you're trying to figure out how a rule works slows down play immensely.

I would rule that characters with low-light vision and especially darkvision ignore concealment due to shadowy illumination, but not due to fog, smoke, terrain (tall grass, thick jungle, etc). In addition, darkvision (but not low-light vision) ignores concealment due to total darkness.

None, yet. My group has decided to stick with 3.5 until the current campaign winds down, then we'll decide whether to switch to 4th. Personally, I'm leaning that way, but we'll make the decision as a group.
