    D&D 5E (2014) Necromancer Games - 3 5E books announced!

No. They are limited to 3E OGC because WotC has produced no other OGC.

    D&D 5E (2014) Necromancer Games - 3 5E books announced!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but WotC hasn't been as litigious as TSR was back in the day. Combined with the general congeniality that seems to be the case between WotC, Paizo, and the various big-name freelancers, I wouldn't expect this to change.

D&D 5E (2014) Can you create YOUR character with basic D&D?

I can see such a class having some gritty psionic or ki self-buffs or save enhancements, maybe Cha-based like a paladin. I agree with you that it isn't necessary, per se, but very easily home-brewed, maybe at the cost of an ability score increase or fighting style.

Australia has a Thunderdome. New Zealand has hobbits.

D&D 5E (2014) Conversion to the metric system - how do YOU do it?

Oh! Oh! I have a solution! Let's just call it "squares"! /duck

    D&D 5E (2014) 15 Petty Reasons I Won't Buy 5e

This has been true of ALL editions of D&D. CharOp > magic items.

    D&D 4E My final 4E session

If a Temple of Chaos (and chart rolling) is involved, I am so there. B-)

    D&D 4E My final 4E session

LOL maybe I play too many paladins, but my epic response would be, "Good! If we can't get home, we can't run away! Charge!" Sounds like a seriously epic campaign. Then again, given the campaign advice I've gotten from you over the years, I was already quite envious of your players!

D&D 5E (2014) Strangely enough, theres very little info about classes in 5e....

You were not incorrect! But the Fighter+ nature of the class indicates that there is far more to them than just that, though. You are correct. When I said Dúnedain, I was referring to the Rangers of the North.

D&D 5E (2014) Strangely enough, theres very little info about classes in 5e....

I saw them as Dúnedain. I thought they telegraphed that pretty transparently, too. They were not men of the wood, per se; but rather wardens of human civilization embedded so deep in the farthest forest marches for so many generations that they pick up secrets of the fey and forest. Having full...

LOL, I am unfamiliar, but I've heard nothing but good things.

    D&D 5E (2014) 15 Petty Reasons I Won't Buy 5e

In particular, I feel it's a mistake to count out GURPS Fantasy so quickly. For generic fantasy it's amazingly flexible. It can be anything you want; just not D&D. B-)

WotC Take Note: If DoaM is core to 5e I will buy it!

I'm fine with GWF, but it feels underpowered because (speaking for myself) I plan to hit the baddies every single swing. I don't plan for failure. :p

    D&D 5E (2014) Starter Set: Except 7

In order to satisfy my requirement for consistent verisimilitude, the ogre should always come either with a pack of goblins, or with two other ogres wielding tweezers.

Question: how long did it take the ogre to close those tiny buckles on his wrists?

    D&D 5E (2014) Design Philosophy of 5e

FWIW, I think we're on track; short rests in this case are just an example, or proxy for the greater argument of how granular the rules should be.

    D&D 5E (2014) Design Philosophy of 5e

That's good, but some questions should be decided by the narrative (i.e. you the DM). "Can I take multiple short rests?" is a question that should have different answers depending on whether there is a bugbear listening in the next room or not. The rules can't tell you that; YOU decide.
