    D&D 4E Best 4E Tactical Encounters

That didn't work well, but I didn't have time to change things before I was out the door for work. Can someone explain what I did wrong copying from the Monster Builder to the net. I used the rich text option like I do when I copy monsters to word which, but this time it came out...poorly...

    D&D 4E Best 4E Tactical Encounters

Let's see if this works. I've never tried to copy text from the Monster Builder to the net before. Leo the Blind Level 9 Solo Skirmisher Medium fey humanoid (demon) XP 2,000 HP 388; Bloodied 194 AC 23; Fortitude 21; Reflex 25; Will 20 Speed 6, fly 6 Only while in Demon form Resist 5...

    D&D 4E Best 4E Tactical Encounters

I post most often from work, but I have the solo himself saved on my Monster Builder. I don't think I kept the adds he was with, but he's a level 8 solo and I had enough xp to make it a level 11 encounter for a 5 person level 9 party. I'll post him when I get a chance.

Has one of the people in your campaign ever died in real life?

A friend of mine died from complications to an assault he suffered earlier this year. We were playing in a skype 4E campaign with various friends who had scattered throughout the world since college. The important thing is to remember and honor your friend the best way you know how. In my...

Which D&D Campaign World did you enjoy most?

My favorite published setting I can now safely say is Eberron. It just works on so many levels for me personally, and has become my default world. Pre-Eberron, I enjoyed the Realms greatly, but we mainly played homebrews.

    The Core...Forgotten...Eberron?

If you can find them, the Dreaming Dark series by Keith Baker is a great place to start (probably not surprisingly). I know they are currently out of print, but you can get them on a kindle if you have that option.

    D&D 4E Best 4E Tactical Encounters

Covered ya. Personally, my favorite encounter I've designed so far has been a shameless modification of the Leotheras the Blind fight from WoW's Serpentshrine Cavern raid, with some adds to round it out. Having a solo shifting between two seperate attack modes, then finally breaking apart...

    The Core...Forgotten...Eberron?

Indeed, if you are just starting to learn about Eberron, I highly recommend either the 3E or 4E Campaign settings as the first place to look, then after that either of the player's guides. Between those two books, you'll have a great foothold into future exploration of the setting, if you so...

    The Pinnacle of your Collection

I have two: the Eberron campaign settings from 3E and 4E, each signed by Keith Baker.

Fortune Cards: and randomized collectible cards come to D&D

Not sure about the randomized aspect of this, but they sound alot like the cards from the Purple Index Card thread over in the 4E houserule sections of EnWorld. I have used them, and my players absolutely love them. I have to give up slightly more narrative control (at most, once a night per...

    Recombining Forums

I like Weem's setup, but IMHO I don't see why you couldn't fold plots and places back into the general RPG board.

    Fiendish Lords?

My players went to the 9 Hells in my homebrew campaign as penance from their patron deities for making a deal with a devil (a servent of Mephistopholes). They were to fight their way to a pit fiend and slay him. The party was demolishing the early waves but were in despair because they could...

So, Dark Sun: It's officially out. What do you think of it?

Re: GP vs. CP. My quick skimming of the economy section basically explained that Ceramic Pieces were issued by the Dragon Kings as a means of economic control, but once you got outside the city GPs were widely used instead.

So, Dark Sun: It's officially out. What do you think of it?

First, I admit, I'm not a Dark Sun fan. It was my least favorite setting, and not much has changed after a cursory read through (for instance, I still think Eberron is the best 4E book yet published). I will say the monster book is excellent, and I really think the authors are becoming more...

males playing females and the other way around, opinions?

I have no problem with guys playing girls or girls playing guys, with the standard caveat. The last female I played was a Starlock who I modeled after one of the characters from the Harry Potter movies. I never read the books, but my wife absolutely loved them so I go see them just like she...

Are you in the RPG closet?

My Warcraft hat kinda outs me, I think.

4e/WotC: Pro- or Anti- why do you care?

I care because when I perfect and release the virus that wipes out the 3.X heretics from the face of the planet I don't want to accidently kill any 4E players. Duh.

Best Forgotten Realms books (any edition)

    1. The 3E Campaign Setting. Probably the best Setting book ever published (and I actually like Eberron more as a setting). 2. The 2E Gods Trilogy. So good, FR deities became default gods for all of our homebrews for about 10 years. 3. Lost Empires of Faerun. In a game about Dungeon...

Uh, no thanks, I'll play this instead.

I won't play Diplomacy with certain people because it causes hurt feeling when the inevitable betrayal occurs. I prefer not to play RoboRally. I just dislike the game. No real reason.

    Are gamers chronic loners

I'm married. No children. Never want them. Of my long running group of 5, with a sixth that comes and goes, 3 are married, 3 are single. The other two married guys have kids. In my second group of 5 that no longer plays (but did for 2 years), we're all married now (no overlap in players...
