Spoiler Alert : Dungeon Delve : Encounter 5-2

That would be a great work around, except I can't imagine that int 4 (IIRC) zombies probably wouldn't be bothered to turn off their auras. ;p

Spoiler Alert : Dungeon Delve : Encounter 5-2

I just ran that Delve on Sunday when one of our regulars couldn't make it for our normal Star Wars D6 game. I noted the aura troubles and decided the BBEG of 5-3 modified the monsters so that they were immune to other undead auras.

    Abyssal Plague...

The Queen of Chaos might not be quite shocking enough given that they hinted towards her return in Demonimicon. Maybe He Who Was is coming back to even the score with his former servent.

How were you introduced to RPGs?

OK, so I voted before I looked at the results. Wow. Overwhelming.

    Identify yourself

I went Gamer, Geek, Nerd, Old School, and New School. Sure, those last two may seem at odds, but I don't view them like that at all. I prefer to mix and match the best aspects of both playstyles.

    Longest Board Game You've Played

Besides the Diplomacy games that take a week between turns, the longest I played any one single board game was still Diplomacy. 7 players, 10 hours. Ended in draw between Russia/England/Turkey. No one could make the 18 required to win at that point.

    Interesting house rule from gabe@pennyarcade

This is probably better suited to the 4E forum, but if you want the PCs to have more interaction with the environment, this rule change would be a good step in that direction. Gabe points out (correctly) that it's a better use of a standard to attack than to try something different, in most...

    Your Favorite Monsters, And Why

Demons/Devils and Undead. I believe Shemy called them the "Peanut Butter and Jelly" of evil, and for good reason. They are very versatile as well, and you can find one subtype that will fit virtually every role you could think as adversaries.

What's the most critical piece of dungeoneering equipment?

Oh man. Could be so many different things. In order I'd say, Light source, rations, rope, backpack, and then mapping tools.

What do people play more of nowadays?

I'm dying to play 4E again, but currently I'm running a Star Wars d6 campaign set in 9 BBY (now advanced to 8 BBY). It is a bounty hunting campaign, filled with underhanded dealings, jedi on the run (including two in the party), spice dealing, and slavers.

Another 10 doors. Pick one, tell me why.

Since we seem to not be staying in the same spot long, I'm now just going for overt combat. Doors 5 and 10 give me that justification. I'll take door 10, Star Spawn vs. Devils seems like fun.

Ten doors. pick one and tell me why.

I also choose door #2 because it's the only one that was immediately interesting to me.

    Deadlands & Earthdawn

I personally prefer Deadlands: Hell on Earth, but I LOVE the setting. My groups play the original version of the games, and they can bog down slightly in combat, but the flavor is really, really strong and the players always have a blast with it. I have not played the SW system, so I won't...

    Rat Bastard DM Requirements

I don't really think of myself as one, but my players insist that I am a RBDM. I just like to think that for every action there is a reaction.

    Spelljammer Galactica

I like the idea, and some of the flavor of 4E in regards to the Far Realms could actually help you in this case. It's been mentioned in various places that the Far Realms have started to bleed over into the Prime Material plane. In this case, it could be that the "thing from beyond" finally...

Irrevocable death? Or do you allow resurrection?

As Nifft stated, depends on the game I'm playing. At the moment, I'm playing Star Wars d6, so a death would be quite final. On the other hand, if I was playing DnD, death isn't quite as severe.

    Session to Death Ratio

I voted for every 15-20 sessions, but it really depends on a few factors such as who is running, what game we're playing, and the plotline of the campaign. Games such as Call of Cthulu have a significantly higher mortality rate, and we recently averaged 1 PC death every session for 5 sessions...

What actor would play your character?

My favorite PC ever was a noble born Thief-Ranger-Fighter-Masterspy that bounced between LE and LN, and was more of an Anti-Hero than a good guy. He'd probably be best played by someone like Kevin Spacey or a young Geoffrey Rush.

NFL FANS!!! -- How about that Draft?

I'm a long suffering Bengals fan, have won multiple fantasy league titles, and grew up friends with a professional football player (currently with the Giants, I was in his brother's wedding just last month, who I'm closer with). Anyways, here are my thoughts: LOL at the Denver Broncos. Tim...

Experienced GMs - How do you divide your preparation time?

What is this, "preparation" of which you speak? ;p It depends on the game system I'm running. Prep for one game doesn't translate as well as another. For example, prep for DnD means coming up with plot hooks, dungeon builds (if running a dungeon), npc stats (if needed, bookmarked pages for...
