Specialist wizards, which two schools do you give up?

Conjuration and Illusion. I needs to have me some fireballs, so I can't give up evocation.

    Coolest Dice

Best die I've seen - a d6 with Knights of the Dinner Table images on it. You get a "Hoody Hoo!" when your shortsword rolls max damage (or you rolled a 6 on one of your stat gen dice).

    How many times...?

Seems to me that an appropriate LN action* might be physically restraining C.O.L., wrestling C.O.L. to ground, shoving her away from the garbage, tossing a sleep spell her way**, or things like these. The physical stuff might cause a few bumps and bruises, but not too much. A chaotic neutral...

At what level do you start your campaigns?

I ran my last campaign at 3rd level, but my next one will be starting from 1st level. A little character death at the beginning of the campaign is probably not a bad thing.

    What is a D&D "campaign"?

I voted "one set of PCs", with the understanding that this doesn't count dead'n'replaced PCs, or things like that.

    FLGS in Philadephia, PA?

Man! Can your Chilean FLGSes export some of those 2e books back? :)

I feel out of it. How do you end campaigns?

I ended my last AD&D campaign with an inadvertent TPK. We knew it would be the last session (everyone was going off to college) and I was hoping for an awesome really tense final encounter. Turned out I had made the BBEG (a skeleton warrior formed from an ex-PC) way too tough, and he and his...

    Monsterous racial conflicts

I dimly seem to recall hobgoblins and elves having a special dislike for each other.

How useful was the AD&D Core Rules CD?

Seeing all this discussion of the Dragon Magazine CD Archive reminded me of the other AD&D product I had dreamed of buying at the time - the Core Rules CD. I vaguely remember that it had a bunch of the "Complete" books, including some of the rarer ones. For an AD&D DM, is it worth it to hunt...

Help! My players are spooning apart my campaign!

Adamantium spoons. This has to be a joke. There's no other way. NOBODY would forge adamantium spoons. I can't believe it.

    RPG-ish Boardgames

Nobody's mentioned Munchkin yet? For shame... :)

    song parodies

A few Paranoia-related songs I did over at Paranoia-Live.net. Tombking is a member there, who (for reasons too lengthy to discuss here) my parodies centered on. Bad, Bad, Tombking-O (to the tune of Bad Bad Leroy Brown) Oh, the north side of SWE Sector It's the baddest part of town And if you...

    What alignment is House?

I assume your quote is from the 3.*e rulebooks. Although many things have changed between 2e and 3.*e, I think the alignments have been intended to remain relatively constant. From the 2e rulebooks (bold is my addition): "Order and organization are of paramount importance to characters of this...

    What alignment is House?

Though I'm by no means as dedicated a House-watcher as those posting here, I'm going to say that I haven't seen Foreman do any evil acts*, but I did see Chase scheme, betray, turn coat, and backstab in the story arc with the donor guy. So based on the episodes I've seen, I'd peg Foreman as N...

    Dice Games vs Computer Games

To be fair, some compyGames promote reading and allow for (limited) creativity. Planescape: Torment comes to mind (although obviously it's the exception and not the rule).

When was the Golden Age of Dragon magazine?

Legally, possibly. Morally, you have to make that call, but I would think not, since you paid for the goods. Especially since Flexor got two copies of disk 4, when he was trying to get disk 5. ...even though disk 5 only has 12 issues or something. (Man, I was SO lucky to grab it for $30...)

Can I get back to you later? Am at work right now, making it slightly difficult to go to Blizz. :(

    Post your favorite mood music...

The Diablo II music is freely available from Blizzard Entertainment's website (blizzard.com). Good for grim fantasy/horror instrumentals.

When was the Golden Age of Dragon magazine?

As a 2nd Ed player, I think the Roger Moore years were the best...but I haven't really looked through too many recent issues of DRAGON.
