More of the Psionic themed spells were brought in, probably a given with the Great Old One Warlock and Aberrant Mind Sorcerer. I think many of those are also spells that use an INT save to resist, since they weren't common in the PHB. CHA save spells are probably still going to be quite rare.

I would hope so, but seeing as they mention Thunderclap over Green Flame Blade and Booming Blade in the Warlock article, makes me suspect they won't. Yes Thunderclap might be the best if surrounded by enemies, but it's hardly the best for a melee caster.
