That’s how it should be. They are still a full caster. The Dance Bards punching shouldn’t be equal to a Monk because the Monk can’t just drop Hypnotic Pattern on their enemies when they want.

Very big change to Inspiring Movement in the Dance Bard. Now instead of triggering when enemies end near your allies, it triggers only when they end their turn next to you.

Based on the Dance Bard page we say in Ginny Ds video, the text in the book doesn’t call out the species. Just the subclass/class.

One thing of note: usually D&D Beyond takes these art pieces and adds them to the character creator as possible portrait options and they sort them by Species. So some of these questions may get solid answers once the books drop on Beyond.

We aren’t gonna agree on Dwarves I guess, because if you told me the Fighter or Cleric was a small Human I’d have agreed. The Dwarf in D&D just looks like short humans to me. So unless I see the Lore Bard having a shorter build, I’m not convinced she is a Dwarf.

Nothing about their facial structure or limb proportions is out of the realm of possibility for Humans. Also, remember Humans can now be small as well as medium.
