    D&D 4E Wonko's 4E Auto Character Sheet + Custom Power Cards

I agree, but my dwarf's only feat is Dwarven Weapon Training - so there is no potential stacking with other feats. The bonus from DWT should be added when using powers with the weapon keyword. It doesn't matter in this particular case, but it's not true that feat bonuses never ever stack. They...

Dwarven Weapon Training and Adventurer's Vault Weapons

Well, the Urgrosh is half spear, half axe. As DM I would rule that you need proficiency with axes in order to fully use it (meaning the 1d12 part of it) Quote from the RAW: Urgrosh: Originally of dwarven make, this weapon has a heavy axe head at one end (dealing d12 damage) and a sharp spear...

    Reviews of character sheets needed

I love all the creativity here, but it's really tough or close to impossible to try out all those sheets. Can someone give an overview? I'm looking for the best document that auto-calculates characters of different levels and prints pre-calculated power cards.

    Fighter Level 2 Utilities

My dwarf fighter has constitution 16 (+3 mod), so with Boundless Endurance he'll get 5 HP per round back when bloodied (when he hits 18 HP). This regeneration is guaranteed, and you don't have to fear bad rolls. Unstoppable on the other hand would give him 2d6 +3 Temp HP once, whenever he...

    D&D 4E Wonko's 4E Auto Character Sheet + Custom Power Cards

This is a very good sheet I found one bug, I think. The extra +2 damage from Dwarven Weapon Focus is not added to the damage roll on the power descriptions. I'm pretty sure that it should be added. It's not stacking with other feat bonuses...

    Multiclass and two-character combos

hmm, the hunter's quarry deals 1d6 extra per round (1d8 with lethal hunter) and 2d6 with sneak attack (2d8 with backstabber), also per round. This means that whenever he has combat advantage against his hunter's quarry he will deal 3d8 extra damage on a hit - once per round.

    Multiclass and two-character combos

That's interesting. Does Hunter's Quarry and Sneak Attack really stack up? It's quite powerful. This character would basically constantly look out for combat advantage and always deal 3d8 extra damage. That's sweet.

    Does Bull Rush Deal Damage?

Just last weekend I bull rushed a goblin marshall out of a window and he fell to his death. Tactical movement is very powerful in 4E, but it also requires a DM who welcomes the action. My DM could have said: "no, the window is too small" or whatever. The goblin got a saving throw, and failed...

    Halflings?

You nailed it. Beyond this, it's really all about role playing. If you don't want to play a small guy who can run under a dragon and then sneak attack his ass, don't play a halfling. If you don't want someone who can stand his ground no matter what, don't play a dwarf. And so on. The rules are...

    D&D 4E 4e: the metagame.

Agreed. All I can say is it makes my girlfriend's wizard happy to effectively slaughter masses of minions. girlfriend happy = DM happy.

How do action points encourage me to take on more encounters?

The short answer is... ... players oftentimes decide to continue the fight because additional Action Points are lost after an extended rest. Once my players realized that using action points can make all the difference, and I stopped forgetting to hand out action points, this great rule worked...

    4th Edition DnD PC tools

I love minis I think I'll always use minis. You know, I started playing in the 80's. Minis were rare, expensive, made of lead, and unpainted. We had no dragons, displacer beasts, oozing cubes. Just a bunch of oblins and silly looking "magic users". I stopped playing in the early 90's and now...

Our First Game -- What some non-RPG fans Learned that they want to share!

you guys are geniuses I'll use your game mat next week, but I don't like the mess with beads flying around like crazy. Players love fooling around with dice and stuff, and I don't think this will work. I love it old school, just writing the HP on the sheet. Anything wrong with printing out the...

Make all encounter and daily powers "reliable"

Excellent point. It's true, my players could do a much better job coordinating their actions. For now, I think I drop the idea of reliable powers, and also don't try the recharging. I'll focus instead on educating the players to try more group tactics and also give everyone a nice little magic...

Make all encounter and daily powers "reliable"

Magic items compensate The existing way to fight frustration is of course to shell out magic items. I gave the wizard a magic wand with a level 1 power. But the rules only allow encounter powers for wands.

speeding up combat by halfing hit points

Started a new thread on making all powers "reliable" http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?t=239682 The main problem is that it would deflate the fighter class. That's a big problem...

    Recharging Encounter Powers

Alternative to recharging... ... would be to make all powers "reliable". I started a new thread on this topic: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?t=239682 The main problem is that it deflates the fighter class.

Make all encounter and daily powers "reliable"

Players get frustrated a lot because their daily/encounter powers are wasted after a missed attack. So I'm thinking to make all powers "reliable", which means they are not wasted after a miss. This would be true for monsters too of course. The Fighter already has a couple of reliable powers...

speeding up combat by halfing hit points

Making all daily/encounter powers reliable... ... is one of the best ideas, and I've pondered it myself for a while. One of my players is an Eladrin wizard, and she's always very frustrated when a carefully planned strategy doesn't work out because she wasted the sleep spell on a roll of 1. And...

    Subduing a wizard?

Page 286 explains teleportation If there is no line of sight, you can't teleport - period. If you can see the target, but are immobilized, you will carry your bindings with you, because it's an "effect on your body" - no? Another interesting question is, can a wizard conjure the mage hand...
