    2nd Edition: Historical Reference Books

Real history books are always good but I think it's not bad to have RPG books about historical settings because they're written with an RPG in mind. Even if they're not for the system you use. Books like these deal with classic RPG issues like how to fit D&D wizards in a historical setting...

    Judges Guild revival

This is an interesting point that deserves thought, but wouldn't it be more accurate to say that, rather than the d20 market is dead, that the production of d20 material has died off? At least in theory, d20 material useable with (3.5 edition) has a much larger potential market than a system...

Redskins: an improper name... now what?

There are and have been several washington-based professional teams with names other than 'Redskins'. The Senators, Capitols, the Eagles, the Potomics, the Grays, the Pilots (the latter three being old Negro League baseball teams), the Wave, the Slayers (a Rugby League team), the Statesmen, the...

Redskins: an improper name... now what?

The university has an arrangement with the actual Seminole tribe, and they approve the use of the name and images.

    Judges Guild revival

I"m afraid I'll have to agree with this analysis. I wish Mysteros well in the project but I think it will be tough. I admit it's made me slightly more interested in the C&C system but probably not enough to buy it or start playing it. I'm a bit surprised that already 20 products have been...

Greatest Character Showdown Round 6 (Results IN)

I'd call Indiana more of a 'neo-pulp' character, since he was created in the 80s but set in the pulp era and given pulp flavor.

Greatest Character Showdown Round 6 (Results IN)

The Odysseus-Batman tally was indeed exciting. Batman raced to a huge lead but Odysseus unbelievably caught up. It was a late spurt by Batman that secured the win. Great heart by the cunning warrior. Awesome baby!

What's that name of that Keep in the back of the Red Box basic set? The haunted keep or something? That was our first.

    ENnies winners?

Don't minimize Green Ronin's accomplishment. Iv'e got no idea of the stats but I'll assume you're right that more people have played M&M than GoT, but it's not like we're comparing a WotC game to some 3rd party publisher. Plus, Green Ronin has built M&M without licensing some big name author...

Rappan Athuk: Reloaded SOLD OUT by wide margin!!

AS I posted abovve I ordered from FRPGames and I'm awaiting mine (though I've had it shipped to my parents in the US where I'll pick it up later this year :() so we're in similar boats. I'm confident FRPGames will get it though (I made my order nesarly two weeks ago--dunno if that was in time...

Rappan Athuk: Reloaded SOLD OUT by wide margin!!

I personally thought the whole 'amazon' issue was a very unnecessary side-track in this discussion (and very counter-productive). What should be focused on is that this is an extremely cool product (I haven't seen it yet but I do have copies of all three 3.0 mods), which I'm glad to see has...

Rappan Athuk: Reloaded SOLD OUT by wide margin!!

I'm awaiting my order from FRPGames. Has anyone had word of it being delivered from them? I indeed am a longtime supporter of FRPGames. Btw they are good for DDM singles purchases as well, and back issues of Dragon/Dungeon. btw, where is the owner's Brick and Morter store?

    Eastern European-flavored setting (in progress)

Bear in mind, the gods I statted out are actually the 'minor' gods of the Slavic Pantheon. Most of the main gods (Perun, Dadzhbog, etc) were statted in Frost and Fur. It's a slightly pricy PDF (I've got the hardback, but that may be hard to come by now). I believe that the PDF distributer...

    Mongoose's Runequest, Anyone have it?

So how is Lankhmar entering the picture? Is there going to be a separate Lankhmar setting book? Will it be covered in the main Runequest book? I was looking at Mongoose's upcoming releases and I can't find a Lankhmar-releated release.

Greatest Character Showdown Round 6 (Results IN)

It should be said that this format produces sort of random, chaotic feel where upsets and surprises are possible, and makes it a bit intriguing. I'm ok with that. Darth Vader getting knocked out in the first round--that was cool!
