I don't know about you, but when I play an 'evoker' I load up on Evocation, Conjuration, and Abjuration spells...so I could care less which of those three schools has the best spells since they'll all end up in my spellbook eventually ;)

Well, maybe whatever is keeping them there doesn't want them to know they're already dead as some sort of test? So a body is left when they're taken away to keep them from knowing what happened.

I think the people are already dead, they just don't know it yet. I figured that out last episode when Jack's father was seen walking around the island and then Jack found the water and the coffin, yet his dad's body wasn't in it. Maybe they're stuck in some sort of purgatory?

Not sure...will WOTC allow dual authored books? I know I often see people like Troy Denning and Elaine Cunningham working on books together...you also see series like War of the Spider Queen that have a bunch of different authors working on one series.
