Seeing that I like almost everything we know rules-wise about 4e, but hate most of the flavour I heard about (especially FR), I'm groing concerned about 4e the more I like what I hear. All crunch and no fluff makes 4e a bad edition.

The rules and mechanics are winning me, but so far, the Realms are losing me. I'll have to see whether the Realms can't be salvaged after all, and whether unsalvagable Realms will make me turn away from all Wizards stuff in disgust.

Which can be done without chaning the whole Realms. 3e did it, and it worked quite well. Again: If they don't want to have a world as detailed as the FR, they should just stay out of the FR. The publishers should not ruin the world for the fans just to get some newbloods in. Should every 10+...
