I read all of them (minus a couple of books that are in my reading queue) and liked most of them.

It will do a good job of finalising the Realms - the decent part before everything is tossed into the garbage can. Since the "old world" (read: real Realms) are dead by the end of the book, it's the definite and final source for Realmslore. They did. They just don't have the balls to admit it...

The thing is, ripping apart the setting so it doesn't resemble what it's supposed to be isn't fun. It's not the setting we like. I do, and so do many others An opinion not shared by everyone.

The Realms broke the pattern with many things. It seems they are going to take care of that, though. I think it worked quite well for 3e. From what we know about 4e, I think it could work equally well for 4e. And the instances where a wizard in a novel thought about how he didn't prepare this...

I'd think that if you bought the e-Version, you could use all those feats and whatnots as full text in the character generator (the one you can use for free) That eBook does cost money. They could either add that to the book's cost directly or make it payable if and when you want the...

I found it extremely useful for that purpose. Sure, you can use the card that comes with your bank account to pay in most places, but you can't, say, subscribe to Pathfinder with that card (or with PayPal).

Don't kill Elminster! It seems he's the only thing that's left of the Realms, with everything killed, destroyed, or otherwise FUBARed.

I'm sure they'll use PayPal in addition to credit cards. You can use that with a normal bank account. Or just get a CC. I find mine quite useful, even though I mostly use it to pay for gasoline.

I often play them because they are the best fit for the character concept. I often play humans, but it's far from being the only race I play. I guess that the players that would be OK with that are in fact a small minority.

Cut those in half and you have my guesses. Remember that they only get a small portion of what the subscriber gets. I'd guess that if you do nothing but participate in, say, 4 games per month, it will cost you about that much. And that's already much if you think that for about twice that...

Next Status Update 21/50/27/173/20. The Pro-WF camp is still in the minority, and the haters have nearly caught up with the lovers. It makes me think that warforged stand no chance to be included into the PHB.
