D&D 5E (2014) Anyone using software combat tracking with 5e?

Game Master 5th Edition There are little things I would change if I could, but it's the most polished app I've seen by far. You can enter everything manually, but rumor has it that there are community-maintained "DnDAppFiles" out there somewhere that let you import all of the official...

Not completely accurate—the PDF does include a version with and without labels.

Mike Schley's MASSIVE Forgotten Realms Map From SCAG!

All of Mike Schley's maps have been internally consistent (other than the WotC-mandated scale issues), and now it's clear why. The overview map in SCAG is unquestionably based on the 1e or 2e map—probably traced over, in fact. 1e vs. 5e: 2e vs. 5e: 3e vs. 5e: 4e vs. 5e: I think the...

    D&D 5E (2014) One-Stop Stat Blocks for D&D 5th Edition

You're right—I was thinking the sea hag had spells, but that's only when it's part of a coven. Makes sense. I really like what you've done here. If you're looking for something to tackle next, the monsters in Princes of he Apocalypse would be awesome.

This looks really helpful. Was the sea hag left out intentionally?

    D&D 5E (2014) Social Challenges & Political Conflicts

Good point, though I believe the max bonus is +8 (+5 for 20 Charisma and half of a +6 proficiency bonus). A level 17-20 bard with 20 Charisma would have a maximum 20% chance of a Friendly reaction—still lower than even a level 1 character with 10 Charisma in the original system.

    D&D 5E (2014) Social Challenges & Political Conflicts

Thanks for the response—you're correct that I wasn't thinking about expertise or fully-optimized characters. I was thinking more in terms of average low- to mid-level characters and the example difficulty classes in the DMG. It is difficult to balance things to be a reasonable challenge for...

    D&D 5E (2014) Social Challenges & Political Conflicts

I still need to clean up the formatting, but this should be a more useable adaptation of Courtney Campbell's social action system to 5e. It could probably still be streamlined further. I tried to maintain as much of the flavor as possible while minimizing the tracking of pluses and minuses to...

    D&D 5E (2014) Social Challenges & Political Conflicts

I think I'm going to have to make some tweaks to the 5e conversion of Courtney Campbell's system. Unless I'm missing something, some of the numbers just make no sense (for instance, a 2d6 + CHA result of 9 or more is translated to a DC 25 Charisma check in 5e).

D&D 5E (2014) What is your current way to roll stats

    Awesome. What does BON mean?

D&D 5E (2014) What is your current way to roll stats

Not sure I understand—how would it create a wider variety of stats if it's impossible to go below 8 or above 15?

D&D 5E (2014) What is your current way to roll stats

Has anybody ever tried generating stats by just rolling a d8+7 six times? Seems like that would be the most straightforward way to ensure truly random stats without getting outside the recommended 8-15 power band.

    D&D 5E (2014) Social Challenges & Political Conflicts

Courtney Campbell wrote a very interesting system for social interactions in On the Non-Player Character. (Review) (Preview) The PDF is a bit pricey, but there's a 5e reference sheet available here that gives you the general idea.
