I think you're pretty much right. I do not have the books, but as you've envisioned it makes a lot of sense. A few months back when I was incredibly bored (waiting for a class to start) I zoned out and started thinking about converting characters from various fighting games w/ the limited info...

To which... is QFT. I assume Wizard dragons can do rituals too (or house rules it). To me, rituals make 4e.

Thanks for the review. It was well-written. I like the 40% new stuff, but you are correct in saying that the new fluff and crunch does not mesh well w/ previous editions. I hope you can find an effective mix of 3.x and 4e that has what you are looking for.

For fun, of course, but I think that powers built into mundane weapons are pretty much a nope (If anyone knows otherwise, I'd love to hear tell). That said, what @will, Encounter, and/or Daily(?) powers would you have liked to seen in mundane weapons? Will you houserule any in? Perhaps a Spear...

To the OP... nope, not bothered at all. A lot of people have said the reasons for my thoughts/feelings. Now for the OT... I'm pretty sure there are small write-ups for how to make PCs out of 10+ races in the MM. I'm hoping there'll be at least a paragraph or two about those race's cultures...
