Haven't read the entire thread yet but honestly I'd really love a DnD animated show (that isn't Vox Machina). Agree with this if the adventure leaves Menzoberranzan. But I think you HAVE to make this a city focused adventure (like you said in your post above) Is the outside world totally out of the question in a campaign like this??

Snagged the new Monster Manual, a mini and some paints a few weeks ago. Trying to get into the painting scene but instead I’ve just stared at the mini for the past 14-ish days.

Being very late to the TTRPG world D&D seems to have the most resources for getting INTO gaming. Between books, YouTube channels and stuff at the local game store it has the pieces available to welcome newer people into this hobby.
