    Your table is YOUR table.

This. For us old guys we got a lot of products (TTRPG, tv shows, books, etc. in the entertainment world) geared towards us in our youths that our parents thought were dumb. This is the cycle.

Evil Drow Statblocks to Return in Forgotten Realms Rulebooks Later This Year

Haven't read all the posts but I don't mind this. I do feel like the MM has a TON packed into it. Plus, I'm excited for a Forgotten Realms Adventure's Guide. Sounds like a fun stand alone that I"m glad they didn't cram into the current books

    D&D 5E (2024) Where to next, WotC?

I've really enjoyed the anthology books and would love one for 2024 rules. Don't know what old adventures they could bring back but I'd be cool with anything 2005 and older.

D&D Movie/TV Netflix Planning Forgotten Realms D&D TV Show With Stranger Things Producer

I have hit the age where "terrible" sounds nostalgic and nice. I don't know that I love this about myself right now but it's where I'm at 😅. Give me a good story and my old brain will put up with a lower budget show. And yes, I realize that this is a recipe for disaster for Netflix.

This would be awesome! Glad to see a D&D show staying top of mind

Critical Role To Wrap Up Third Campaign, New Exandria Unlimited Miniseries Announced

I think the guys name is Matthew but I forget his characters name. It was like “Glarg” or something. Anyways, I remember laughing about how often he lied about rolling 20’s. Core memories unlocked

Critical Role To Wrap Up Third Campaign, New Exandria Unlimited Miniseries Announced

That’s funny you mention Critical Hit. It’s the first podcast that got me into DnD when I stumbled on it in 2010. Only listened to first season but loved it

Critical Role To Wrap Up Third Campaign, New Exandria Unlimited Miniseries Announced

I'm always in the market to find a new actual play podcast to get into. Been trying to get season 1 of Not Another D&D Podcast to stick for me. 9 episodes in and it still hasn't won me all the way over yet. Really enjoyed Dimension 20 season 1 and CR season 1 (Only 40 episodes into season 2 but...

Theater of the Mind and VTTs: Oh Brave New World...

I agree with this. In my case I was a ranger in that campaign which I feel made it easier for me personally to just shoot an arrow or two from a distance. I'm sure I'd have been lost if I was running around getting into combat with different enemies. Also, when I was thinking back about this...

Gaming/RPG Fiction Should Make A Comeback

Put Children of Kerensky on hold and am starting with the Warrior Trilogy

Theater of the Mind and VTTs: Oh Brave New World...

One of the online campaigns I was in was all totm AND the group was extremely tactical in how they fought. I was always impressed with the DM and the players that it all worked so well. No one complained and no one felt ripped off by not having a map with actual measurements. It was the first...

What are your TTRPG Goals for 2025?

Does this style make it really hard to keep up as the DM? I feel like I would never remember what happened in the previous session.

D&D 5E (2024) Wrapping up first 2-20 2024 campaign this week, some of my thoughts

Agreed. Stress testing the limits of a video game on a PC/console to see if it breaks the game is different than getting extreme in a TTRPG that takes the game to a point a small small percentage of people will take the game to. Feel like you would want a maximum amount of right down the middle...

Gaming/RPG Fiction Should Make A Comeback

Children of Kerensky is the book my buddy recommended to me. So I'm just kind of starting there. Really want to get into the Battletech lore as he and I love playing the tabletop game.

What are your TTRPG Goals for 2025?

Find a group of people that want to play a live game and DM it. That's the top goal. Side goal would be to DM a game of Star Wars (West End Games)

Gaming/RPG Fiction Should Make A Comeback

Currently reading through the Drizzt series. Actually really liking it. Just yesterday though I got a bunch of recommendations for the Battletech fiction books. Excited to dive into those ones.

Critical Role To Wrap Up Third Campaign, New Exandria Unlimited Miniseries Announced

Will the system affect wether or not you all listen to C4? I'm so far behind (still working through C2) and think I'm just going to start C4 when it starts. 4 hours for a week seems a lot more enjoyable that trying to binge as much as I can a week.

    Daggerheart Release Date Revealed

Totally agree. Personally I think the mechanics sound kind of cool! I need to sift through the Open Playtest thread. I do feel like CR always has really cool artwork attached to their name and although I realize that is nowhere near the point of their book it is something I'm looking forward to...
