[OT] 2002 World Cup, part 2

He was a sex symbol when he went abroad...I was a little dissapointed in Perugia's decision to let him go, that's just not a decent thing to do (or sportsmanlike).

[OT] 2002 World Cup, part 2

No, it's 'cause the Koreans have defenders that are less than spectacular...and a dollop of the dashing Irish smile that throws off their opponent in a crucial moment. ;)

[World Cup] BRAZIL !! Heart Attacks !! England Next !

On a minor note, Ice Hockey is a Canadian sport...no matter how popular it is in USA. ;)

[OT] 2002 World Cup, part 2

? If there was violence present in the game (as it is in most games) it was hardly one-sided. 'Nuff said.

Italy played a great game, despite some rough spots, but...are you serious?!? It was a fair match, all be told.

NWN: new to D&D..what about Rangers

Whenever the ranger is mentioned, there are intense discussions regarding the validity of the class past the 1st level... :D I'm also one of those that thinks there is nothing interesting on 2nd and 3rd level (and dual wielding does not fit my concept of ranger) and so IMC we take...

XP: DMG VS FRCS Method, plus Cohorts XP

I use the DMG method of handing out XP, except where cohorts are concerned. I give full XP to cohorts, as giving just half doesn't make real life sense...

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Teams are growing together... What this world cup is showing is that, there is a trend in the strange happenings during the matches so far. What I've seen points out that many of the teams are growing closer together in terms of skills and abilities. Just a cup back (4 years ago) we've seen a...

    comeliness

A good looking dwarf lady? I, as a human, don't find a girl with beard any more attractive than the dwarf beside her (no offense to dwarves). ;) Supermodels are wide considered appealing all over the globes nowadays true, but back several centuries they would not be considered the height of...

    comeliness

Even though I liked the idea of comliness in 1e, there was a disparaging gap in logic where the standards of comeliness amongst differing races and culture were concerned. What a hill giant find beautiful may not suit the haute couture taste of an elf. Even among humans, there are a great...

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Again, A heartfelt congrats to Poland for regaining their honour!!! There were rumours that the whole team might have face the headman's blade if not for this win, after taking a ride in the presidential plane to get to Korea... ;)

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Please do not be too harsh on him (Coach Engel), as Poland loss to Korea was somewhat justified when considering that they were playing against a host nation. While Poland's fight against Portugal went bad, well, Portugal is a tough team to beat... So hopefully their win today may stay the...

    CRs..Are they poor?

Don't ya mean subjective criteria? ;) I think the balance point of ECLs is transformative. IMO, low ECL characters (meaning +1 to +3) get their pay off around mid-levels (around level 10ish): at low levels (level 1 to 3), they get creamed due to low hps and high levels (level 15+) they are less...

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Yeah, I would much like to see Korea advance. But I fear, the game with Portugal will end in a draw at best. Still, with the home ground advantage...Go Korea GO!!!!!!! :D Hhhmmm...and don't you mean Poland (and not Russia)? ;)

    Knockback

And hit points do not accurately tell you which part of you got clipped, wacked, or even if it was a miss (since Hit Points does not always detail a hit)...Since depending on which side you got hit (or not hit), you could get knocked back, sideways, or even down.
