    Time for traps!

I haven't seen a traps thread around here for some time, and considering the fiddly way WotC handles them I figured it better to just to play it by ear. This is one of my all time favorite traps, that I've sprung on unsuspecting parties. That's not Jell-o! After vanquishing the black dragon...

    Common half-races as 1st-level feats

I like your newest version, though I feel it's a too powerful with them both adding lowlight vision, which is something I would likely make into a feat in it's own right. Admittedly I wouldn't use my version in my own game as I've tweaked the races such that instead of getting racial bonuses to...

    Common half-races as 1st-level feats

Yes! A Human with elf, and dwarf blood feats would be considered a member of all three races for any effects pertaining to a character.

How long does it take to drink a beer?

Thanks for making the point I was about to DreamChaser. If you consider the weight of an ounce of ink, in a vial weighs effectively nothing, but the same vial unfilled is a tenth of a pound. The same for flasks, an empty one's a pound and a half, but a filled one's only a pound! So all...

Magic Item Compendium Errata: Where Is It?

I think it's in one of my Y! groups, lemme check. ... Sadly no such luck.

    Animals are cheating!

If memory serves that book's had errata for just such instances.

    Common half-races as 1st-level feats

I preferred the original versions you posted honestly. Though I'd tweak those in another way entirely. With the way you have it now a human could in theory take two of these feats (at this point we may as well call them heritage feats), and have half the skill bonuses of a dwarf and elf, and...

How long does it take to drink a beer?

I'd put it at no more than 2 rounds. Subtract a move action if it's someone that drinks often, subtract a standard action if it's someone with a decent fort save, and just a standard action if it's an F'n barbarian.

    Class skill swap

It's Guerrilla Scout. What it does is give a +1 to init, and makes the cost of those two cross class skills 1 instead of two, but the regular cross class skill cap still exists.

    Feat Types?

I'd add in Ancestor Feats, though I believe Oriental Adventures was 3e, not 3.5...

    Stealth Attack

No. First off, just because you inhale doesn't mean you're suddenly incapable of speech. I inhale all the time and can speak. Second a sharp intake of breath will at *most* stop someone from talking for all of 1 round at most. A shot to the throat actually damages the windpipe, making it...

That coughing, achy, sniffling, stuffy head, fever so you can die spell...

The upside is that the caster will likely be the first to die. ince there's no incubation period and anyone touching the infected is then infected.

    So... about sunder...

Fireball 'em from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

    You can Sunder a Hydra?

    So... about sunder...

I've seen the great Sunder threads pop up so often I've become curious. Does anyone actually use Sunder? I know I've had it used on one of my characters because he had the only weapon worth a damn in that fight, but it's one fight in at least 200 battles (and lord knows how many encounters...

Does poison take effect if bite did zero damage?

If memory serves the assumption is that all poisons delivered with a bite are injury poisons, but there may be some creatures that have contact poison as a special quality.

Dragon with a Cloak of Charisma...

So once the adventurers trounce the dragon they can say 'His ascot knocked out!'

    Barbarian / Monk

I had a similar idea only it was a monk what went wild after his monestary was razed. First I'd go with the Horc and orc paragon levels for Rage and added Str. Remember, that as a Barb you lose your rage if you go Lawful. I *think* you retain rage as a paragon feature.

Do you put downloaded artwork in your house rulebook?

I'm actually ordering some artwork from a local artist. She'll be drawing my LG centaur first, then I'll be asking her to draw some iconic personalities of my campaign world if she meets my expectations.

    min/max my familiar!

Take the Raven. Especially if you're Know skill based. The raven speaks a language, and thus is infinitely more talkative for your first few levels, and since it has the same ranks as you do, you essentially get a reroll (though at a penalty since it uses it's own INT) of all knowledge checks...
