I actually introduced my players one a day over a period of 6 days. It gave rise to some strange trials of dominance in the cells between Ront and some of the characters and avoided the 'everyone is imprisoned at the same time' . I had players roll off for the order they were inserted.

I can see it now. A Group of Emerald Enclave adventurers arrive in the town of Barovia and immediatly setup a Greenhouse safehouse only to have the Plants turn on them all as they sleep and drain them dry of blood.

THey are going for the 1e feel with this Ravenloft it seems like. other domains MAY NOT even Exist. If its a total rebuild of Ravenloft then there could be just Barovia or .. Barovia.

Yeah I would expect a very short lead time between guide and hardcover module release to the special stores.

To be honest, Ive never found the hardcover modules to be seriously aligned to the factions. Sure they get a mention in a few of the modules but not really near the heart of the story. I dont really expect anything different from the Curse of Strahd Hardcover. Faction charity in such scenarios...

Yeah Calimshan has had Genie issues for a long time, Djinni , Efreeti and so on. It dosnt surprise me that the elemental races there (Genasi) are relatively common for any point in the Realms. I remember reading about the Djinn back in 2e days.
