    Konsequences - Kobold style

Classes and levels are abstractions. The characters do not know anything about the kobolds that got away. Hell, they don't even know they got away (yet). That's all I'm going to say further on the matter - you sound like the victim of one too many adversarial DM vs. Players games which is...

    Konsequences - Kobold style

What level should NPC's be? Answer - whatever level the DM needs them to be to fairly challenge the party. NPC's are not subject to the same rules as PC's. The PC's created this particular pair of villains even if they don't know it yet. That will make their defeat all the more enjoyable when...

    Konsequences - Kobold style

Well the pov of the town sheriff is "The next time you destroy a kobold lair you bloody fools make sure to kill **all** the kobolds." I don't run a railroad game - I usually wing it and follow the players around. However NPC's react to what they do. The two surviving kobolds are going to be a...

    Konsequences - Kobold style

I've got a new 4e group and I ran them through a plot line that involved cleaning out a kobold lair. One of my own devising and, well, then did things a bit too well maybe. The destroyed every egg in the hatchery, and the dragonborn paladin* lit up about 22 kobold children and toddlers with her...

    Character Points series

Thanks folks. I'm glad to see it well received. These first four issues have been from the cancelled Role & Rule book I wrote some years ago. The next issue will be the first original one and will try to put a fun spin on a rather mundane part of the game. After that I think we'll go 4e...

Any word on when the voting software will get fixed?

The computer can tally the votes in a few seconds - it's collecting them. I would like to be working on it now, but the last 3 days I've been called in for temp work. Nareau has the form ready, I should be able to wire it to the old code and have things ready soon. Dextra will announce it when...

And here's the response from the prototype website: Every error you cited is in the framework, not my code. Prototype is one of the most heavily used and heavily tested AJAX frameworks on the net and it has been tested for leaks and problems repeatedly.

    Front Page order?

Yeah, they aren't supposed to be sequential. Don't feel bad - I did it wrong and I WROTE the damn thing.

    Front Page order?

There's a way to enter the information so that the computer displays things in order, but the interface is too badly designed by me to make that a realistic expectation. Until I can build a dev mirror I'm stuck - it needs an extensive rebuild but I can't do that on a live board.

To be brutally honest with you, expecting me to be able to fix this is like asking a carpenter to fix your plumbing. I am a PHP/Javascript programmer. I am NOT a Linux system administrator though I've been pressed into the role for far too long. I'm trying my damn hardest here, but at this...

Desperate times, desperate measures, I need help people, please.

Again, thank you all. I would ask that the donations stop now - the final tally being at $2,500. As soon as is possible I will raise up this amount and use it to purchase a new server as the current machine is nearing the end of its useful life. Also with the way technology depreciates in...
