    You're Joking!

To get some ammusement. Doesn't have to be offensive to any one group; having said that, are any of these really offensive?

What's your favorite Mythological/Fantasy creature or person?

I have always been fascinated with dragons. Also love the story of King Arthur. I know both of those are very mainstream, but they are my two favourites.

    Batteries in a fantasy world

Haven't got any yet. Its currently just an idea; I haven't quite decided whether the dwarves trade it or horde it (in the latter case, I like the idea of wars fought over this stuff). I was going to probably give it charges like a wand, so that, say, fifty uses and it's depleted.

    Eric's Grandma: Update

That's great news Eric! And a great story too :)

    Batteries in a fantasy world

My plan at this stage was to have them not be rechargeable, which eventually will lead to to reserves of them running low.

    Batteries in a fantasy world

Thought so, and felt a bit silly for asking, but wasn't sure :) Thanks :) Would something like a magnetic shield be out of the question? Or magnetic gauntlets that made it harder to be disarmed whilst weilding a metal weapon?

Can you tell me how to get to Ol’-Skool street?

Happened to us as well. I even got a nostalgia kick out of True20, and am in the process of making it even more simple and like Basic D&D (races as classes, etc).

    Batteries in a fantasy world

It is relatively recent discovery, certainly within the last century, though I don't have a definate time. I like the torture idea :] Do batteries affect magentism?

    Batteries in a fantasy world

In a campaign world I am developing, the dwarves of the world do not mine gold and gems, but rather a substance called 'greystone' that, when treated alchemically, can be used much like a battery. I have already decided the dwarves have invented 'shock swords' (a blade with a greystone lightly...

    Homebrew: How-to?

I'll put in another recommendation to use Dungeoncraft. Even for old hands, it is a great tool to use to develop campaign settings. The author is very clear and gives plenty of examples on how to use his work.

    You're Joking!

I'm looking for some good jokes to keep myself amused. They will have to be clean, so as not to violate board rules :) Let me start: Did you hear about the Indian that died from drinking to much tea? They found him next morning drowned in his own teepee. Give me your best!

What flavor do you use to make your gameworld unique?

This is a great thread, BTW :)

    Does anyone play warhammer?

My group keeps magic secret and assassins and stuff, but stats, etc are all fair game (which they really need to be, due to the nature of the rules)

What would you like to see for 2006 on ENWorld?

Seconded, as we now have a d20 news and a General RPG news page, I think this idea makes sense.

[Holidays][PC] What will you be playing?

Now that I have a decent video card, I'll be playing Fable: The Lost Chapters.

What flavor do you use to make your gameworld unique?

I like to write one paragraph descriptions on my worlds, keeping the flavour simple and strong so as to be able to focus on it. My two most recent are: 1) Talantis: Fantasy Earth (though not set on Earth), complete with roman empire (elves), King Arthur's England, etc. Races are all...

    Merry Christmas!

So, here in Oz, it is now 1.15am on the 25th.... Merry Christmas! 6 more hours and I get to finish work and go home to spend Chrissy with the family.

Your personal Top Stories of 2005

    1) Marriage: Definately the best thing to happen all year, I got married to my high-school crush back on February 12. 2) Changed way of thinking: At some point during the year, I realized I was taking life to seriously. Stress, headaches, illness; all were things that plagued me. I made...

(total frustration) There MUST be an Extra Feats Academy around somewhere here ...

The easiest way of doing it is to just house rule it so you gain a feat every level. I believe Crothian is doing this with his group, and I'm pretty sure he has said it is working quite well.
