I picked up the Campaign Setting over the weekend and while I haven't sat down with it, the bit I read seems really solid. This adventure looks like it'll be a good addition to that. Did you do the 3d maps in Sketch Up?

The glut stopped because the industry tanked. DoA was the first monster book out for 3.5. As a 3.0 product, we had 1,400 pre-orders. 2 months later when we revamped for 3.5 it dropped to 500. And I was told that those were very impressive numbers at the time.

With the GSL you can't put the logo on the front of the book only the back. The reason I created that 4e logo and have that compatibility text is so that people know what the product is. If I didn't have that on there, this could be a product for any system.

This sounds like more of an integrated solution. Like what WotC was talking about initially with DDI. There would be a code in the book that would let you download the product once. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what it sounds like to me.

Do finished banners need to be 728x79 or can I do my own approximate size?

Here's a low res preview of our first Races of Violet Dawn PDF. We'll have the full blown product up for a Wednesday release. My Player's Handbook 2 just shipped and there are a couple things I want to check and possibly add into the PDF before we release this.

What we are probably going to do is release the races as a combined PDF/PoD under the Pathfinder License. Obviously this won't happen until Gencon, but we'll give it a go and see what happens. If it sells well we will continue to support 3.5. And with that, yes we will use the Pathfinder skills...
