    Detect Magic is Dead

Different aspect of the conversation really... In any case, I agree with you 100%.

    Detect Magic is Dead

I didn't and martial clearly isn't magic. In the description for martial exploits it says they represent a persons training, will, and dedication. My big beef is that a Fighter can learn about a Wand of Fireballs by spending 5 minutes with it when knowing about a wand of fireballs clearly isn't...

    Detect Magic is Dead

Um, how do you figure? The power sources are neatly broken out in 4e. Wizards knowledge is of the arcane. Like someone else said, what does a fighter know about a Robe of Stars. My big beef with all of this (and most of the issues I'm starting to have with 4e) is everything is getting dumbed...

    Detect Magic is Dead

It does beg the question of whether or not detect magic is still necessary though. If I can identify everything a magic item does, do I know if its magical just by picking it up? I assume not, because I think they said detect magic was a ritual.

    Detect Magic is Dead

Looks like Detect Magic is dead. This is the first change that I'm not so sure about. Rules-wise, it makes sense. Fluff-wise, I like that mages are the only ones that understand all of the magic stuff. Probably won't be too hard to retrofit if I decide to do so. Thoughts?

    TWF and you

2nd Edition was 1999 at least according to Wikipedia... There was a quote in Skills & Powers by Zeb I believe, that said Drizzt was so popular that he influenced the design of the Ranger in 2nd Edition. I don't know what is so surprising about that. Turning back to TWF in 4e, I think having it...

Right. I understand this won't be possible, I'm just curious and True20 was the best example I could think of. Makes sense, thanks for responding.

I guess I should rephrase my question. If Green Ronin decides to release True20 as a 4e product, does that mean I can no longer support True20 as a 3e product?

Sounds good. I am assuming this is on company by company basis. Example, if Green Ronin makes True20 4e, that doesn't mean we can't support True20 then, right?

I caught part of it at the after reception yesterday. No way that's ever going public! I'll post a ton of pictures though... The thing is, I can understand a lot of it, but after all of the times WotC has gone on to prove that they aren't the man, you would think that these comments would be...

Three years? You ever go to our website? I hear you can actually use the Internets to buy stuff. :D I actually remember that order. The excess is at a friend's garage. Your copy come out of the closet right behind me.

 Yes, I'm happy. I'll be even happier if I come home and I find out all the license stuff is straightened out and everyone is happy. No matter how good the news is though, I'm sure there'll be some sort of spin or something that raises people's ire. We'll see what happens...

I don't agree. The backlash that would happen if they made us sit on it and finally dropped a bomb like that would be far worse. You think people actually are sticking up for them? It seems like everyone just complains that they have no faith in WotC and they're evil. I'm a publisher and I have...

Tell me, if that is the case, what is the advantage in them "sandbagging it"? Great we lost another one!

We're actually not getting married through Disney. We're getting married at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cyprus in downtown Orlando. We didn't do the actual Disney wedding because with the amount of guests we had, it would have been over $10K which is just insane. True that! :)
