I don't know where in Canada you live specifically. I think the further north you live the more jacked prices would be, but your getting shafted badly. There are two LGS in the community where I live, and where I live is considered to be Northern Canada. One store slaps a increase on the...
Agreed. The D&D books are going to be sold at a significant discount as well with free shipping. Admittedly I also get frustrated with Canadian pricing on magazines and books.
But...there is no way that the D&D books are going to be sold for $70 bucks a pop unless there is some serious mark-up...
75 bucks a book! I think you need to find a new store. Amazon will have a significant decrease and free shipping.
Honestly the store that you're dealing with sounds like they are being greedy/dishonest. I'd be shopping elsewhere
I would be okay with weapons powers as an optional rules mod. I have played other RPGs that have included them in their core rules. These rules have bloated the game and made combat a long drag fest as everybody had to check the powers of their weapons they were using.
optional yes. RAW no

The pulling of the playtest materials from their website smells like there may be an announced release soon. It seems like corporate think to pull the free game when you're close to releasing the game for sale.

I like the idea of having one overall rule for opportunity attacks, then having a subset of situations that will only come up if a certain class Is in play.
I like unwiedly as well
This is another example of fans thinking that there is a rivalry between Paizo and WotC when neither side has said or indicated it.
It's also shows the fallacy in thinking that you either have to be a Pathfinder customer or a D&D customer. Why can't people be both?
Does WotC want customers of...
