    New James Bond

Clive Owen would be perfect... he was great in The Hire BMW shorts and in Croupier. Hell, he even made a throw-away character in the Bourne Identity into a memorable role.

Your favorite bands as adventuring parties.

The Sisters of Mercy Andrew Eldritch (tiefling bard/shadow dancer) Doktor Avalanche (modron duodrone with drums of panic) The band is haunted by the shades of countless former members, at least two of which can always be seen hovering in the background. The party has a pattern of behaviour...

    Question a pirate's cohort

Bingo! The advantage of having a familiar or awakened anything aboard includes the ability to spy on your fellow PCs, er, I mean, to keep tabs on the crew. :heh: Unless its a ninja, in which case it cannot be trusted.

How many RPG forums websites do you regularly belong to?

Just three: ENWorld, Magnificent Egos, and NationStates.

    Question a pirate's cohort

Try to find a hole in your party's composition and exploit it. I'm playing a pirate in Greyhawk --- worked my way from Bosun's mate to First Mate and now to Captain. For my cohort I decided to create a trusted lieutenant to fill another shipboard role... so I recruited a minor character from...

    Question a pirate's cohort

Actually, there is --- the Freeport Pirate, from Green Ronin. It's even been updated to 3.5 on the message boards. The PrC is treated as a ranger for purposes of determining the animal's HD.

Are there any *classic* 2E adventures?

I'll second The Great Modron March and third Dead Gods. Both are Monte Cook's work, BTW.

    Possibly Stoopid Question for Non-Americans

    Ooooh, that's nasty. Heh.

    [July] What are you reading?

Non-fiction: Murder on the Plains (an old chapbook on crime in Western Canada); and Developmental Juvenile Osteology by Schuer and Black --- a right ripper that is. Fiction: Imajica by Clive Barker; and Ficciones by Jorge Luis Borges. By the way, it's nice to see people reading Guy Gavriel...

    Unique and Original Campaign Settings

Of games I've played... 1. Jorune (from Skyrealms of Jorune). Cool and weird. 2. Tekumel (from Empire of the Petal Throne). While perhaps detailed enough to choke a horse, this setting benefits from both a malign pantheon of demon-gods and a stifling social order. Throw in some strange fusions...

Picture is worth a thousand words

I can help you out there, Billy. I have an Admiral refrigerator/freezer, model 010720, which was built while Jimmy Hoffa was still alive. It doesn't really keep food cold anymore, and despite its aesthetic beauty its really only fit for menacing neighbourhood children. You have a lawn; I have...

    WotC support for Eberron?

    Almost. Leatherheads.

    Damaging a Ship.....

If you need a comprehensive (but complex) system for ship damage, check out Living Imagination's Broadsides. Hull and rigging have different hit point values, which vary by ship size.

Say goodbye to the Daleks, Dr. Who....

Oh well, at least the set designers will be able to use stairs in the new production. ;)

    Elves vs. Vulcans

Better still if they were Romulans. Long-lived, haughty, and constantly jockeying for power. Yes, I run a happy campaign. :]

    Is your fantasy world hollow?

I'm running two campaigns right now, and working on a third. None of them are hollow, though one has a hole through it. One is Earth in the 1400's. One is Mystara, without the Hollow World bit. The one I'm working on is flat, with the sun rising through a hole at the centre.

    planar handbook information request

I feel your pain. Sad thing is, I remember a day when the dollar was worth $1.04 USD. Of course, we were still using stone knives and bearskins back then (or at least wearing polyester).

What kind of kids would THESE two have?

Heh. I didn't think of him until after I went to bed. Well, we have a precedent, kids: the resulting hybrid offspring is just plain nuts.

What kind of kids would THESE two have?

The elf-ogre hybrid from Mystara was called the Ndjatwa --- however, they were a magical fusion (the gods must be crazy). The numbers being bandied about are basic genetics (the ratios look like those derived from a Punnet square). Someone pointed out that this situation is one of blending...

I seem to recall a thread in which Shemeska and his fellow planewalkers hinted at a few things... http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=91267
