D&D 5E (2014) Do Otyughs literally eat... (dung)???

And how about that the otyugh can now psychically beam images into peoples brains. As if keeping one's rations down around these things wasn't hard enough. Even if the thing wants to be non hostile, it will be probably send images that it likes... maybe things like *Two Hags, One Goblet* or...

D&D 5E (2014) Do Otyughs literally eat... (dung)???

I'd say there is no guarantee they excrete solid waste. Being an aberration, there's no guarantee they operate that much like a normal critter. I'd say it just as likely that the only waste an otyugh secretes is a toxic saliva like slurry into it's mouth, with all other matter being added to...

D&D 5E (2014) New Monsters in Rise of Tiamat?

In fact that just made me willing to use the Wyrming stats since I generally don't like man sized dragons, but a devil the size of a human is more palatable to me.

D&D 5E (2014) New Monsters in Rise of Tiamat?

If you need them bad, try reskinning a wyrmling or young dragon. I don't have my DMG yet, so I don't know how much to adjust for adding a poison tail sting.

D&D 5E (2014) New Monsters in Rise of Tiamat?

Have Abishai had that much traction since 2E?

    D&D 5E (2014) Additional weapon damage dice?

There really wasn't anything to clarify IMO. It read pretty straight forward. I find it a bit obnoxious to base rules off die sizes, but the Devs really wanted to protect the d12 as a damage die rather than phase it out.

    D&D 5E (2014) Adding Cantrips for Wizards

Unlike other editions, Cantrips are each more of a class ability rather than just another spell.

    D&D 5E (2014) CR 13 dragon beaten by level 7 party observations

The rules ever cover that? While all one would have to do is look a miniature to see a flying critter is going to need about three times it's base size to flap it's wings, I don't remember many editions calling that out.

    D&D 5E (2014) Speed Factor Initiative Modifiers

Players are working together, they know their actions, they don't know the monsters actions. DM decides the monsters actions but isn't supposed to base them on the player's actions. Unless the monster is psychic.

Please define a couple of common terms I see used on here

Min-maxing is a lot worse in games where ALL character parameters are bought through character creation. These game also often had ways to cripple a character in some ways to grant more abilities in other departments. It would be like trading off saving throw proficiencies for +2 to a stat...

Please define a couple of common terms I see used on here

Or if you know your DM goes out of their way to avoid killing player characters, you can ignore your constitution and dexterity scores since even if you get hit and run out of HP, the DM will avoid killing you.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dropping a Weapon

I'd rule free action to drop anything on your turn, Reaction to drop something when not your turn.

    Jurassic World - Official Trailer

I'm going to this movie if only to see the fully realized Jurassic Park. So they dusted off this concept... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8OF-r2Njg0 JP2 was awful. Though I'm not sure why so many folks are so down on JP3. It had a very retro pulpy charm to it.

Yet another demented rant by yours truly: Fireworks

An issue with that is, you never know who knows who if you don't live in a major metropolitan area. A complaint like that risks a cop not getting there in time to catch anyone, then the same cop tips his buddies off on who ratted them out later. Which leads to flattened tires and broken windows.

Pathfinder 1E How to treat a claymore in pathfinder and other editions.

If a spellcaster can have dozens of attack spells with countless variations for range, energy type, damage, area and other distinct in game effect across countless books, why must a fighter's weapons be forced to ignore variations in blade shape, hilt design, guard size and forging techniques?

    D&D 5E (2014) What is the logic behind one 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th level spell?

Let me break it down... A quirk some Video Game and Tabletop RPG game systems share is that melee classes are more powerful, versatile or useful at lower levels than casters or magic using classes. However, the trend reverses at higher levels, when the magic users gain a breadth of both...
