    What next for FR?

I would like to see an update (not these one room at a time things WOC has been doing) for Undermountain. But this time really expand the random encouter tables, what levels come maped (I say all the levels should be done). But if they do update it, set it after the war that has damaged...

Is the original Tomb of Horrors a well-designed adventure module?

Agreeded, back in 1st edition and most of 2nd edition. The focus was normaly on chalenging the player. But in todays gaming enviroment, its challenge the character (hence skill checks, stat checks, feats, class abilities, racial abilities, etc). Perosnaly if I am playing a system that does a...

Is the original Tomb of Horrors a well-designed adventure module?

Biggest problem with "challenging the players" is that when you force players to use there knowledge. They get in trouble for meta-gaming. Besides just becouse a player may be of average Int and Wis, the character they are playing my be of exceptional Int and/or Wis. So is it really a good test...

    Boycott VH1

I stoped watching MTV about 8 years ago (when they started having more other shows then music). VH1 recently has started doing the same thing (but at least some of those showes do interest me). MTV2 is ok, at least it trys to play music video programs over half the time (it is now the home to...

Trying to kitbash an unarmed fighter...

Sounds like its time to come up with a custom prestige class. Ya there are 10 to the 127th power prestige classes out there. But there is nothing quite the same as a class you and the DM work together to develope. Check out the section in the DMGII for rough guidelines on how to make them.

    I hate LA!

We have been toying with assigning an Experiance cost for LA's instead of just a flat LA. We have found that nearly all LA's are fairly balanced at lower levels, but by the time you reach the mid teens and higher those LA's do not really match up with what is lost. The formula below seems to...

    Paladin Question

So a Monk (or any 'Monster' ie a Troll) who was using a weapon, then suddenly drops the weapon and surrenders is no longer an opponent? Besides someone is not a prisoner until someone else takes (or in these kind of situations accepts) then as one. Until then they are still potential...

Best class mix for party of five or more?

I have to agree with Kafkonia. The 5th party member should be a more combat related cleric or druid. Not quite as good in combat as a Pally but the additional healing early on is a huge bonus.

Do you use miniatures/tokens in your D&D game?

We use a combination of all the options. Heck we even tare apart post-its to make a "marker" for creatures over 10'x10' in size.

I just heard this about the Transformers movie. (possible spoilers)

One word: Sweet If the rest of the moive has that level of graphics. Then it will be worth seeing no matter the story line or deviation from one incarnation or another.

    Adventure preference

I can understand that, but in all honesty (at least for me). It really does depend on who is DMing. Some DMs are good with cities, others are good with dungeons, others do traps/puzzles well. Personaly all of them are equily enjoyable and at the same time equily terrible. For one, the DM in our...
