Races of the Dragon is out. Otherwise it's fine. Where's reactive counterspell/epic counterspell from?

Far as gods go, you have two choices: you either worship the Perfect, or you worship some abstract ideal of your own. You are, after all, his creations, and the standard D&D gods do not exist in this world. In either case, you have access to all domains. In the case of the abstract ideal...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

Ah, forgot to mention: Creatures from the ELH are specifically banned as PCs. I have no idea what the Wizard guys were smoking when they came up with those ECL entries.

Ferrix: Good point. No ethergaunts. I think the problem is with that one particular creature, which gets wizard levels, rather than high-ECL races in general. If anything, most high-ECL races are rather weak. Lord_Raven88: Just stick to the books I listed above. It's a lot of books...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

Ah, glad to see that link is still alive. It is the RG thread for the chars last game. Maybe it'll be a little help for potential players. A new game it is, then. Go ahead and post your chars, people. Doesn't have to be too detailed, yet - you'll probably have to change it later on...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

D&D - Epic game: The Eye of Profane Truth Story: The former hero-king, Naramyr Wyrmslayer, has fallen from grace. On his forehead is the Eye of Profane Truth, the indestructible artifact prophesied to reappear every 500 years, always to bring great slaughter and turmoil. Even now, his great...

A combination of two or more lesser templates, maybe? Nice booklet, btw.

    Looking for a template...

That's great and all, but I don't have any of those books. Anything from WoTC stuff? There are going to be multiple creatures that need a CR bump, and I wanted a template because I didn't want the hassle of advancing/class levels for each individual creature.

Outsider. Inherited is fine. No change to type is preferred, especially not to undead or construct.

    Looking for a template...

I'm looking for a template to bump up a creature's CR by about 5~8. It needs to be a general sort of template that doesn't drastically alter the base creature (like Paragon, except less powerful). Any suggestions?

Heh. And every time you open the bag, everyone within 30ft that can smell is Nauseated unless they make a Fort save.

    Shapeshift druid vs regular druid

You didn't take Shapechange into consideration in your power curve. This should pretty much replace Wildshape for the standard druid at level 17. I'd say it bumps power up to 8 or even higher if you use it right. Does Shapechange stack with the shapeshifting druid bonus? If so, there's a bit...

    Shapeshift druid vs regular druid

Nerf the wildshape, and all you've got left is a cleric with crappier spells, no turning, no domains and no spontaneous cure spells. Only time I'd take this class is for a one-level dip to qualify for Warshaper (and while this nets me a powerful melee guy, it's nothing like the intended class...

    Shapeshift druid vs regular druid

When given lemons, make lemonade. DM forcing this shapeshifting druid option on you? go for monk x/druid 1/warshaper 4.

    Aura of Despair

By 'modification' I don't mean 'replace'. I mean 'change', and adding a new property (on top of the old one) is a modification too. Take, for example, Weapon Focus. You 'change' your attack rating by adding +1. You don't 'replace' it by the +1 bonus. Yet WF is a modification to your attack...

    Aura of Despair

Modifications to class features doesn't change its type. Or else Supernatural Transformation would actually be Extraordinary Transformation and Quicken SLA would net you a non-magical spell. I cannot think of a single feature-modifying feat that actually says 'p.s. the ability remains SU'...

    Aura of Despair

I can see how it could be interpreted that way, but strictly speaking, 'causes' is not exclusive. taking a feat that makes one of your class features 'cause' something does not remove the original benefit, I would think.
