Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

I know the rules are there. I just don't like them very much. The primary concern would be why your staff would be half-charged when it has just been created. Also, it falls under the 'no customized items' rule. Lastly: *takes out the DM fiat and waves it around*

I'm curious, too, now. Shayuri and Pyrex is good to go, far as I can tell.

LR: the equipment section for your char isn't working. Nothing happens when I press that show button.

Azaar: post your new and modified character asap. everybody's about done. we're starting soon. Only thing useful in the Vest slot, far as I can tell, would be the +Concentration item from Complete Adventurer. It's a pretty sucky slot.

Wrahn: no partially charged items. I'm referring to your Staff of Power.

Nephtys: the Lavender and Green ioun stone is a banned item this time. Same with the Rod of Absorption.

Actually, barring unforseen events, Nephtys is the designated walking band-aid.

Like last time, I will houserule that each feat gives two levels, except the first one. (i.e. first gives 0, 1, 2, next one gives 3 & 4, next one gives 5 & 6, etc.)

It may be prudent to carry your own supply of diamonds, everyone. You can't expect the Cleric the shell out for them. And a couple of scrolls, too. Just in case the Cleric kicks the bucket.

Aboleth Tentacles are primary natural weapons, judging from the description. In other words, you take a -5 to hit with them if you use them in conjunction with your iterative attacks, and the strength bonus is halved (after adding the +4). But if you strike with them alone you hit at normal...

Pyrex, Nephtys: good to have you back. Since there are new players, we'll have to start from the beginning. You can use the same chars from last time, though. The rules haven't changed. Though I'd appreciate it if everyone stayed together this time. Go ahead and put your chars into the new...

Wrahn: Here's a thought: if you pick up Improved Spell Capacity three times, you can have Persistent Greater Divine Visage in your 12th level slot. Saves you the Divine Metamagic for, say, Quicken. Hmmm...

The Clawed Arm graft replaces a normal arm, so no. Regarding the weapon: my advice is to just get a nonepic +10. Those are much more cost-effective. Souldrinker is an Artifact in this campaign and is therefore not available. So is the Holy Devastator (not that it matters to any of you)...

That is... unfortunate. Ah. Well. Now the party lacks a full Cleric. My recommendations: a. Pool your money and buy some True Resurrection scrolls. b. Everyone needs to have his own source of healing. That is, unless Voidrazor or Bloodweaver are willing to fill in the slot. Either way...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

Several things: Pick your Epic Feats first. They come from a shorter list and are more important. NEVER place a normal feat in an epic slot. Specifically, pick up two Improved Metamagics (shame EK doesn't grant it as a bonus feat, or else you should get three). Also pick up Multispell...

Caster feats, eh... Delay Spell would be nice, if you swap out a lvl 9 spell for Timestop. Split Ray is good for Enervation and Polar Ray (if you swap something for it). Mobile Spellcasting lets you move and cast as a single standard action.

The third level of Archmage is +1 Fort and Ref. That's almost as good, especially considering you've got a high Will already. You've got a whole crapload of spell slots at these levels. You are likely not going to use half of them, especially the lower-level ones. Taking that into...

20th level archer - how to boost damage?

Get youself a Pearl of Power 8. Chummy up to the party wizard. Have him cast Polymorph Any Object (Arrow Demon) on you before the heavy workouts. Arrow Demon from MMIII. Essentially gets you double the archery goodness, plus NA and insane stats. Not sure how that flys with the latest...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

Of course it's better than Spell Penetration. But you've gotta think in terms of opportunity cost. The difference between CL 24 and CL 26 isn't worth as much as, say, Arcane Strike.
