    Debut: Ardent

I think the comment that ardents are "psionic warlords" is just an easy way to summarize the class in ways that 4e players can understand quickly. I mean, they could have referred to them as "psionic battle clerics" and conveyed essentially the same idea. That is, ardents are a leader class...

Monster Manual 3: What do we know about it?

QFT. I could totally live with gem dragons redesigned from the ground up.

    Debut: Ardent

I feel confident that the ardent will be a Leader class. However, I'm not so sure about its power source ... I'll put the chances as 60% Psionic, 40% Divine. Given that it was a Psionic class in 3.5, I think that tips the scales in the direction of Psionics. But it seems like many of the...

    Assassin, fullblade+2 and Ki focus+1

Indeed. There are some drawbacks to weapons though. If you're, say, trying to blend in with some peasants but are carrying around this huge honkin' fullblade, you'll be easy to spot. However, if all you have is a ki focus, you can wield a peasant's manure shovel with deadly skill. ;)

    Assassin, fullblade+2 and Ki focus+1

You can choose. The first one is using your fullblade as an implement, the second one is using your ki focus through your fullblade, and the third one is using just your ki focus (the last two are essentially equivalent, for this power). Assassin implements include any weapon they are...

Win Plane Below, and the Savage Encounter Line

Well, I don't have Open Grave, but the Whelm entry says the weapon is good for Paragon level adventurers, so it seems like it already is an artifact in 4e.

Win Plane Below, and the Savage Encounter Line

Yeah, I just noticed that. :)

    Tainted Spiral

I did notice that. It's a nice touch for those that use Dungeon Tiles. As far as the adventure goes, it looks like a fun little jaunt against Lovecraftian terrors from beyond. :)

Tomb of Horrors 4e - Mouseferatu style

ToH has a reputation for being something of a meatgrinder, with death traps and save-or-die situations galore. I'm really interested in seeing how this will be translated to 4e, which strives to remove instadeath situations (rightly so, in my opinion).

    PHB3 Debut: Ardent Speculation

I feel "zealot" has too many negative connotations to make it a good name for a class. Indeed, I can't think of any instance (at least in the parlance of the present day) where it is used in a positive or even neutral sense. It almost always is used as a name to describe someone who is...

Dragon 382 - Ampersand: Looking Back

Having orcs and dwarves living together is an interesting twist, as is Gruumsh and Moradin forming a loose compact. While I imagine the two races for the most part would live separately from each other, there is potential for some cool overlap. Like a dwarf who becomes an adherent of Gruumsh...

    PHB3 Debut: Ardent Speculation

Perhaps it has, in the context of the game world. It's just us in the real world that aren't used to it yet. ;)

    PHB3 Debut: Ardent Speculation

I think it's just a weretiger monster that's being flanked by a dragon familiar.

The Plane Below - Secrets of the Elemental Chaos

I'd be interested in hearing about any new information about Tharizdun and the story of the Abyss's creation. Also, want to give us a list of some of the big bad demons in the book? :)

Love it or hate it, 3e style

It seems to me just a simple case that a decent proportion of people on Enworld who like/love 4e also hold 3e in high regard.

Making a Physical Skill Challenge that Involves Everyone?

I'm going to have to support those who say this shouldn't be a skill challenge. I don't think you can be faulted for looking at the DMG1 for guidance, but really the DMG2 should be consulted here. Unfortunately I don't have my DMG2 on me, otherwise I'd quote it. :) When I have access to it...

A Thing I Don't Like About Adventure Paths

I don't mind APs focusing on the machinations of one BBEG (although I do agree multiple BBEGs liven things up), but lately I, too, have been thinking about strongly focused APs are on the central plot. I'm not sure if I need or want *every* adventure in the AP to focus on the AP's core story...

Oh, yeah. I forgot about these guys. Add them to my list. :)

    Coolest Cult in D&D History?

Oh, whoops - missed this. I like the Cult of the Reptile God because I like the Reptile God's style and MO - she has, slowly but surely, forced people to follow her will - even the clerics! Also, the idea of flushing out the cult, then battling its sinister patron in her swampy lair just has...

    Coolest Cult in D&D History?

My favorites are the Cult of the Reptile God from - you guessed it! - Against the Cult of the Reptile God and the Brotherhood of the True Flame from Al-Qadim.
