Divine Challenge: Switching targets means you don't have to engage?

EDIT - Hmm, not as easy as I thought :)

[Character Builder] Will it every be customizable?

I'm not sure it ever will be customizeable, mainly because I'm not sure how hard it would be to create a user interface that let's people make up any power/race/feat/ability they like.

    Revised Monk Available in Compendium

Nah, that just refers to pushes, pulls, and slides. Teleporting a monster isn't governed by those rules.

    Revised Monk Available in Compendium

I didn't see it in this update, but I recall hearing about a rules update granting creatures a save with forced teleportation into hazardous/deadly terrain (like, teleporting them off a cliff). I thought it might be in this update, but maybe for the next one?

Monster Manual 3: What do we know about it?

That'd be okay by me. :)

Monster Manual 3: What do we know about it?

You've pretty much hit the two main draws to gem dragons. :) I don't know - I see how they're a bit superfluous now, but my young mind thought the idea of neutral dragons with psionics was totally rad. They would definitely have to go back to the drawing board to make gem dragons have strong...

Monster Manual 3: What do we know about it?

I think the juiciest irony would be if they decide to make gem dragons and hired you to write them ... ;)

Monster Manual 3: What do we know about it?

I don't think we've heard anything about gem dragons. I don't even think they've really thought about them in 4e. They might after they get the scourge dragons done (which I presume will be in MM4). As far as MM3, Lolth will be in it, as will mimics I believe.

    Channel Divinity Melora

Hopefully we will see them in published form someday! :)

    Channel Divinity Melora

I'm okay with it, as I suspect we'll get more CD: Melora articles in the future. But, I, too, would have liked to have learned more about 4e's goddess of nature. In particular, I'd like to learn about her relationship with 4e's primal spirits. It seems like there are some overlapping areas of...

My take on the Tactical Warlord section of Warlord Essentials. (Now revised.)

The OP deserves credit for writing his own article, but I think your version of the is the best so far. It gives concise, accurate advice in a gentler, more conversational tone.

4e Annoyances for those who like 4e

Oh, one other thing I thought of. I kinda wish that copper and silver pieces weren't largely ignored. I'd like it if the base currency in low Heroic tier was silver, gradually moving up to gold by the end of the tier, then shifting to platinum some time in paragon tier, and then moving to...

More Dark SUn tidbits by Rich Baker

Well, there is new race information, and there is some new information for classes (new builds, etc.) So I think players will still pick it up. I don't know much about Dark Sun aside from what I can read on Wikipedia. But it seems to me that starting out with Tyr as a free city is okay by me...

    The Essentials articles are atrocious.

While I do see the "disconnect" between the more fundamental portrayal of warlords in PH1 and the "lead from the rear" portrayal for inspiring warlords in Warlord Essentials, I'm okay with them changing their minds about what an inspiring warlord "should" do. However, right now there just...

4e Annoyances for those who like 4e

I don't like V-shaped classes. I feel like the skill system is still too much like 3e's. Given what they want to do with Skill Challenges and the like, I think the skill system needs to be rethought from the ground up.

Why do you lke the Primal source?

Why I like it: I feel it gives druids and barbarians a more suitable place to hang out and helps differentiate druids from clerics and barbarians from fighters. It takes the idea of spirits and really establishes them in the D&D world in an interesting way. It also has a strong Greyhawk...

    Excerpts: Draconomicon: Metallic Dragons: Draconians

I dig the whole "corrupted metallic dragon eggs" story, but I like this idea, too.

Can we have a 4e variant of M&M or something like it?

EDIT - Never mind, I just think it's different perspectives on gaming that are butting heads here.

    Dragon 381 - Warlord Essentials

As my first 4e character was an inspiring warlord, I find myself not agreeing with some of their recommendations for races and powers. With respect to races, I wonder why they recommend elves as inspiring warlords - while elves aren't the best choice for the class from an ability score...

    Whatever happened to....?

I've always wondered what Graeme Morris (Night's Dark Terror, When a Star Falls) and Carl Sargent (Iuz the Evil, The Marklands) were up to. Those two did some excellent work.
