I took a class at High School for the A+ - it's pretty much cake. I'd recommend the Test King Study Guides. Note that the test itself is adaptive - so if you are given a tough problem and you get it right, you'll get a tougher problem next and if you get it wrong, it will be a little easier...

IIRC, the one spell per five levels thing replaces the spellcasters bonus specialist school spell slots. Now if my memory serves, the spellcaster would recieve these bonus spell slots even if he MC'ed into a PrC. With that reasoning, I would allow Bob to get the bonus "transmutation" spell. Erge

This is great fun and gives characters a bit of an umph without feeling forced. My character - an arcane disciple with a penchant for mischiff recieved the ability to use Suggestion once per Charisma mod. It gave him a slight umph, giving him a little ability that reflected the way he interacts...

I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. With as bright the lights they were using on the suit, I'm not surprised it looked glossy - they were casting a shadow on another building. Very cool stuff.

I missed this part. My guess is that the tree is usually attened to by various druids with the ability to cast "Speak with Plants". It's entirely possible that the awakened tree has a magic item that applies the reverse of said spell, allowing a plant to speak with humans, but that's only...
