I'm an not 100% certain about anything right now, but I think you would need to include the 1.0a OGL license together with any material you have posted up on the internet. So I guess you can make a PDF, add the 1.0a license as you would with any OGL product, and hopefully we will get some better...

No it isn't. Ryan Dancey's testimony in court would establish the true intent of the 1.0a OGL, he was a part of the company when it was drafted and his words go a long way in the 3pp OGL community. Dancey is the furthest thing from irrelevant right now.

Oh dear, good thing its all over the internet, and I think I have half a dozen separate copies scattered amongst all the various SRD files I have.

I can't say that anything is a certainty right now, all I know is that it is possible that if you can show prior use of the 1.0a license you can theoretically keep using it, depending on their future course of action. Nothing is certain or clear right now until we get an official statement...

Yeah that was yesterday, things are moving so fast that yesterday is looking like last month already. Hopefully people realize now what's at stake.

The real question people should be asking is: will kickstarter move forward allowing content using both the 1.1 OGL and the 1.0a? because the impacts on the entire industry could be bad across the board for anyone that doesn't want to sign the new license.

I was thinking the same thing about kickstarter now that thay admit they have a deal with wotc.

Cheers to Ryan Dancey, I really, really, really hope he is right. I do worry that wotc may try to bully 3pp publishers, legal or not, due to the short time publishers have to decide to use the new 1.1 license before they have time to find an alternative solution.

I have previously created homebrew content using the 3e SRD since it was released, allowing me to learn how to become a potential content creator. It has taken years of work converting my 3e materials over to 5e, a task that now seems futile in the absence of better news. Years of work...

You never know though, CR could (hopefully) do something positive based on the worsening perception of the 1.1 OGL, they haven't made a statement yet. More than anyone else, CR is in the best position to effect a change, because they don't need wotc, the have their own platforms and they draw...
