    Living Greyhawk 4.0 draft

The xvart was also in an issue of Living Greyhawk Journal, which, I suppose, makes it official. However, it's 3.0, and a tad hard to track down, these days.

    Living Greyhawk 4.0 draft

Perhaps they should run a poll on who would buy the book if it was, say, 80% flavour. I've a feeling the numbers just might be in favour of such a tome...

    Living Greyhawk 4.0 draft

Or hurt Living Greyhawk. Personally, I'd welcome such a tome, but I'm not certain how widespread this conviction is, and while there is a vast body of Greyhawk fans outside of RPGA who have been clamoring for more Greyhawk material, I'm not too certain about how well they'd receive such a...

    Miniatures Setting Questions

They are. The Greycloak Rangers hail from the elven city of Evereska, in the Greycloak Hills.

    What are your goals?

Get a PhD, preferably in history, though if the winds of fate take me to literature instead, so be it. Get published before Sampsa Kurikka. My honour is at stake here. When those two are accomplished, everything else should fall into place.

    Your Best pick up line?

"You wanna join my D&D campaign?" did work for a friend of mine. It never did get off the ground, though.

Easter egg in Sharn: City of Towers

Also note that the way it's drawn, the PGtF cover is actually either the back cover of the book, or the book is actually read "back to front"...

Overused DnD words for 2005 (it's that time again) [merged]

Indeed, since nobody seems to bother to spell it correctly. It's über. The umlaut is your friend.

    2005 New Year's (Gaming) Resolutions

My first New Year's resolution for 2005. My second New Year's resolution for 2005. My third New Year's resolution for 2005 would be to try and run games more often, ideally on a weekly basis. My fourth New Years' resolution for 2005 is to try and actually, you know, use some of that stuff...

How much do you game during a week?

I run one campaign of my own and frequently participate in Living Greyhawk events. My own campaign is usually around six hours per session, while the Living Greyhawk games take around four hours per adventure, translating to some twelve hours per event.

Other then the main four classes

Bard, naturally. But you knew that already.

    Suggested Forgotten Realms Reading List??

For a glimpse into history, try Cormyr: A Novel by Ed Greenwood and Jeff Grubb, and its sequels Beyond the High Road and Death of the Dragon both by Greenwood and Troy Denning. I can also heartily recommend the Sembia series, starting with Halls of Stormweather. The second book, Shadow's...

Antoine Fuqua Owes Me 2 Hours

Don't forget that they used stirrups, too, which, as I recall, weren't invented until the 9th century and not brought to the British Isles until the Battle of Hastings in 1066... I also have a feeling that trebuchet contraption the Woads were using in the end battle was a bit too advanced for...

    [Dec] What are you reading?

Got Foucault's Pendulum and Sinuhe the Egyptian as long-term projects, and Paul S. Kemp's Dawn of Night travelling with me. Already read through Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn, an omnibus edition with the entire trilogy and two short stories thrown in for good measure. Excellent stuff.

    I "acquired" some old stuff...

Whoops, spoke before checking my facts. http://www.acaeum.com/DDIndexes/SetPages/Deities.html So it's not all that rare, but it is still fairly uncommon and quite sufficient to provoke uncontrollable salivation in gamers.

    I "acquired" some old stuff...

Fairly rare, yeah. They had to remove that printing from the shelves after they got in a legal tangle with Moorcock. It's now pretty much the most sought-after 1E book. You're an irritatingly lucky man. ;)

    I "acquired" some old stuff...

And I thought I was lucky with getting the Orpheus game line for €10 per book... That's some very, very nice loot you got. Congratulations, and welcome to the fold.

    Kingdom of Heaven

Well, as I understand, Alexander didn't take any overt liberties with history. I'm not wishing a movie accurate enough to teach people history, merely one accurate enough not to give us history majors major headaches like King Arthur did. On the plus side, I had great time ripping that one apart.

    Kingdom of Heaven

It looks interesting. I just hope they paid attention to historical accuracy... I'd hate to see this become another King Arthur.

    Stat yourself... Off topic?? dunno.

I figure I'd be an elf wizard. No true reason for the race, except that I look more like an elf than a dwarf. Wizard, on the other hand, is the only adventuring class for the bookworm. And people keep telling me I look like Harry Potter. Str: 7. I can't lift stuff worth a damn, and I only hurt...
