    H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth - I Have It!

Maybe getting down into the hall requires some crazy pulley/gondola system that costs a lot of money to get out. Sort of cheap to get in, pricy to get out... perhaps some internal conflict or something could make that price go up. Maybe the players get in trouble somehow in the hall and until...

How about this idea H1&H3 spoilers Wow that was more complex than I'd intended! Any other ideas?

How is FR changing with 4E?

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get into it. On one hand, it seems like a good time to do so and I like the 4E system and really want more. On the other hand, I've hated FR's massive NPC and history in the past. I always felt (which may be my issue) that with FR there's too much and...

    Pyramid of Shadows Excerpts

Looks very cool. More interesting to me than H2 (though I thought they did a good job with it). Nice stuff, too, to drop connections into H1/H2. My group is about to finish up H1 and the inclusion of that will be a neat interlude to drop some hints that they've been through the area as the...

How is FR changing with 4E?

Forked from: Eberron Campaign Guide June 09 I'm completely unfamiliar with FR... my only experience is with various computer games, but we've never run it on 2/3E and I never picked up any of the books. Speaking to someone who doesn't know anything about the original FR, how is the new one...

    Dropping H2 connections into H1

Almost through KotS and I've done the following to enhance it: End H1 and H2 Spoilers.

    Character Hooks

May I suggest not trying to cut down the number too much. It might not seem that fantastic to you but may spark something to a player. And if it doesn't, they'll simply choose a different one. Having just used hooks with my current group, my only suggestion is to avoid ones that within the...

    PHBII has Half-Orcs and Goliaths

Yeah, rereading his post he seemed like that was an ironclad truth. Maybe we missed something! 5 classes unaccounted for... wow... it's going to be a long time until Spring!

    Eberron Campaign Guide June 09

That sort of scares me. I see three possible outcomes now: 1) No psionics to begin with in the Eberron books. Big bummer and downside for Eberron players. 2) Light psionics with 1-2 classes in the Eberron Player's Guide. Big bummer and downside for non-Eberron players who will be missing 1-2...

    PHBII has Half-Orcs and Goliaths

My guess is the Theurge is just speculation... though I think overall the presence of a divine controller in the book is highly likely based on the current status of roles.

    PHBII has Half-Orcs and Goliaths

I'd love to see some new classes that seems like 4E can support but never could work in 3.5... I hope they knock themselves out and push themselves with the system rather than "How can we do ______ in this system." That said - I understand the need to convert core classes for those fan and a...

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Bending styles as classes?

There's talk about them continuing the show but looking at a different avatar maybe after Aang... If this is the case I'm hoping we'll get a different perspective and get some good ideas. I wonder how much the PHB with the elemental characters will really pull from the avatar ideas instead of...

    Irontooth deadliness

The Wizard's AOEs and Fighter's Cleave did an amazing job of crowd control and dropped the minions. The fighter did a good job of nailing/marking the non-minions and killing a minion with cleave. The rest of the party took care of the big guys and once the mop up was done the wizard and fighter...

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Bending styles as classes?

I think that for a homebrew a template or special-multiclassing-rules works best. I like those templates. If I were put in charge of writing an official sourcebook (even if it was just elemental rather than Avatar) I'd go with the fully fleshed out classes with one role per element perhaps.

    Level Adjustment Kobold Hall

I'm running Kobold Hall to introduce 3 players to 4E. We're using the KotS pregens Cleric, Rogue, and Fighter. I'm considering upping their levels to 2 or 3 and go that route rather than simply dropping the number/type of kobolds. Suggestions? (KH spoilers should be expected)

    D&D 4E summoning experience for 4e

I think specifically tailored summoned creatures is going to be needed. Looking at monster levels, abilities, etc. seems needlessly complex to summon an imp that comes in does some damage and dies. A naturey druid summoner could be pretty awesome... And I agree... this game its so easy to add to.

Thoughts on using the mirror as some kind of artifact that they keep and use throughout the adventures giving clues and other crazy things?

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Bending styles as classes?

Actually maybe we're going about this the wrong way... If we want to setup a game based on characters that have very heavy bending focus (i.e. 4/5 of your players will be elemental) maybe setup some multiclass system where bending characters can chose a martial class & then may replace powers as...
