    Testing Caster Interrupt Variant

I'll go with disallowing the fog and going with divine favor, in keeping with my general, arbitrary custom. Hours of active buff just comes with the territory! 1. Arrow Demon 1 summons dretches. 2. Arrow Demon 2 attacks Evard. 3. Conflagration ooze uses supernatural ability: Confusion (DC 15)...

A Rose In The Wind: A Saga of the Halmae -- Updated June 19, 2014

Oh my--I wonder what the gloves do! This was a pretty interesting scene.

    Testing Caster Interrupt Variant

I definitely haven't seen the Test. Any resemblance is purely coincidental. Also, I have no idea why this text is bold, but it won't unbold... Grid is 5x5' squares. D1, D2 = arrow demons 1, 2; big square = ooze. Since everyone generally enters battle buffed, want to have a free round...

Party initiative sounds good. I'll use a single init roll for the mobs as well. If you don't mind controlling the PC foursome, that would be good. Now I've got to figure out the roller interface.

    D&D 3.x 3.5e Magical Offenders - Most Overpowered Spells & Fixes

http://www.enworld.org/forum/playing-game/308595-testing-caster-interrupt-variant.html We got Terraria last night and I've been, er, a bit distracted. :halo: I'll try to get that map up in short order. ETA A very simple grid map up with coordinates.

    Birth control in D&D

Back a little more on topic, I seem to remember that back in ye olde middle ages, women were considered mainly "vessels" and the offspring was actually the man's creation. To that end, a temporary infertility spell cast on a man might be more appropriate if the setting is very patriarchal. Even...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo Copyright Issues at Obsidian Portal?

TheAuldGrump - I'd give you some XP for graciously answering my question, but apparently I've been too giving today. ;) Hopefully someone can tap that for me. Thanks. And now I know not to buy any more GW minis as Father's Day gifts...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo Copyright Issues at Obsidian Portal?

Not to threadjack, but can someone point me to a link or something detailing this Games Workshop PR debacle carmachu is referencing?

How Can a DM Encourage Roleplaying?

I've been the woman at the 'otherwise all men' table playing a guy; I left for a while and came back to discover that my male paladin became mysteriously female in my absence. Keeping the pronouns straight was evidently way too difficult... I have never been successfully able to force players...

    D&D 3.x 3.5e Magical Offenders - Most Overpowered Spells & Fixes

I would be very happy if additional people wanted to join our test--so if anyone else here is interested, pipe in. A party of four sounds a-okay. I'll post a link to a "Playing the Game" topic here later.

    D&D 3.x 3.5e Magical Offenders - Most Overpowered Spells & Fixes

Well, in that case, have you got free time tomorrow? ETA What party level do you recommend? My group is level 1, but I suspect the best test value probably won't come from that level of play.

    D&D 3.x 3.5e Magical Offenders - Most Overpowered Spells & Fixes

I'm not sure I could put together something interesting enough to entertain you, Dandu--you're way too good for me. I'm honestly intimidated, mechanically speaking.

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Collection of Tactic & Strategies

At this point, the mad DM simply acquires this tactic and uses it against the party. What's in the box? What's in the box?!

    D&D 3.x 3.5e Magical Offenders - Most Overpowered Spells & Fixes

And your caster can always find the path when you realize that your princess is in another castle. I agree with Empirate; I do find perfect balance dull--but perfectly balancing casting vs. non-casting classes isn't my personal goal. I think trying to do that in the context of any of the legacy...

    Knights of the Virgin

Both of these orders just do an incredible disservice to the men of this supposed campaign setting. Are almost all of your fictional men really walking rape-machines incapable of seeing women as anything but whores; desirable objects; potential enemies; baby-vessels; pitiable, ignorant savages...

    Logos: The Golden Path

Since the previous was rather short, here is an introduction to our paladin. ***** This long, cluttered room in the Order's headquarters had once been a smokeroom and still smelled faintly of hams. The swarthy, hawk-nosed man tapped softly on the podium as he watched his dozing students. The...

    Logos: The Golden Path

Introducing our incredibly laconic ranger: ***** Belsea had made another reluctant journey into civilization--granted, the very least edge of it--in order to get the goods she couldn't provide for herself. While the pony was out being shoed, she was in the general store closest to the path she...
