Wasn't this "just" a license deal? If I remember correctly WotC got approached by the developer/publisher, to use the D&D license for their game. So: If another publisher apporached Wizards, I would presume that they would be willing to make that kind of deal again. Why not? This one is not on...
Ok, I think I figured you out. You are a WotC marketeer! You are beating the same dead horses all over again (and again and again) in order to keep the word out, that everyone else is quite happy with the decisions, that are being made on behalf of D&D.
This is like trying to find the best...
Hex is a bonus action to transfer to a new target. That is neither an attack nor a cast a spell action. Why should this invalidate my being Hidden? Why should the prosecutor be made aware of my mischief?
Except that your are actually casting the spell on your turn. You just hold the energy back until your trigger occurs. That is relevant as well for the number of spells you are able to cast on your turn. If you ready a spell you cast it ON YOUR turn and therefor are subject to the bonus...
Is there (maybe?) an implied difference between "attack" (verb) and "attack" (noun) in the rules?
Mirror Image says: Each time a creature targets you with an attack (noun)...
Invisibility says: The spell ends for a target that attacks (verb)...
Attack (noun) has all the mentioned baggage...
This image from The Matrix shows how I imagine Mirror Image to look like.
The attacker does not target one of the images. It is perfectly clear, that there is only one person. This is your target. The d20 mechanics give the caster a chance to not be where the attack hits.
Magic Missile...
I found it (yes, you can stop laughing now... thank you ;-)
For future reference (as I seem to remember, that I started this thread, but not the link), here it is:

Really? Then "one large or 4 medium" creatures is an extremly low capacity. The LS is several steps up from Large with a radius of 20 ft. Is this 64 5-ft. squares? What happens if the LS moves into a space with a creature that would put it above its capacity?
BTW, how can I, standing on the...
This is much, much harder than the Cloudkill Spell itself, isn't it?
CK gives you a CON Save against the poison. The LS gives you one chance with a DEX Save and then engulfes you and deals its damage. Regardless of me holding my breath (like in the spell). Also: Escaping from the LS lets me...
I'd allow it but would let the mansion "roll in the waves" or something like that. Being sea sick while hiding in the mansion could be cool. Walking around in my mansion, while the donkey that pulls the cart stumbled on a tree branch on the road... priceless.
