    Interview with Mike Mearls

Interesting. I've downloaded it and I'll listen when I get home tonight. Thanks :)

Iron Kingdoms / Privateer Press not switching to 4th

Interesting. I love IK, I like SW (despite glaring flaws), and I'd be very very interested in an IK-specific system (although I doubt they'd divert that much effort from Warmachine).

    Disturbing? Nah. Sexy, maybe.

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

Defending 3E against hyperbolic criticism is not the same as attacking 4E. There are definitely places 3E can be criticized and 4E attacked, but rounser's blanket assertion is certainly not The Truth About 3E any more than Wulf's response to it was an attack on 4E.

    Question about warforged monks...?

Warforged monks are awesome. Psiforged monks with a battlefist, Flying Kick, and Psionic Fist are even awesomer.

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

Mmm? What do you mean by that? I've never used that kind of program, and we do fine.

Simple defenses for pirate ships wanted

In the middle ages (or something), they'd soak hides in water and hang them on wooden structures to keep flaming arrows and whatnot off. In a port-specific situation, if there are bad-asses that live there or any sort of pirate organization, there could be an unwritten rule of do not use...

    Warforged and Battlefists?

You could get them enhanced separately, for dealing with funky foes. Your DM may let you do TWF with them (I would).

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

So, I've been thinking about 3E and 4E. I was really excited about 4E leading up to its release; I'd been playing mostly Savage Worlds, kind of taking a break from 3.5 for a while. However, when 4E came out it just...didn't really grab me. I won't speculate here on why. What 4E did do was...

How many of your use the 22 point buy in the phb?

We usually roll. I typically allow a single extra roll if you don't like the first one, with the option of using point-buy/the standard array at any time.

    Hardest to Visualize Power

That ability is to let warlord play as if the character was a tactical genius, even if the PC isn't. A tactical genius could get the enemies where he wanted them by setting it up through the battle to get them in the place he needed them. Since the player isn't a tactical genius (probably), the...

    Awesome art, Klaus.

    Sweeney Todd

    Agreed. Cannibalism is awesome.

    D&D 4E If Not 4e, Then...

I'll most likely be playing Savage Worlds along with 4E, so I'd probably be playing that instead. I also play Pirates of the Spanish Main/Cursed Seas, Tannhauser, and various other games, like Linley's Dungeon Crawl.

    Goblin Picador

Remember that Fort is now the best of Str or Con, so if you're very strong or very massive, you have a better chance of stayin' put.

Your choices are Kill, or ... Kill

I think you're taking issue with the idea that you have to read a book to judge it, not the logic, pawsplay. Just 'cause the logic's right doesn't mean I am, if I start from faulty premises :) However, I'll stick to my guns that judging something that we haven't seen (subdual damage rules and...

Your choices are Kill, or ... Kill

Replace that with Example Person A: You cannot judge the PHB without reading it. Person B: Why can I not judge the PHB without reading it? Person A: Because to judge something you have to be familiar with it. Judgment given in ignorance is worthless. And you'll be closer to the truth.
