D&D 5E (2024) How's the adoption of the new Goliath types going?

4e had it where the Genasi were just a single race that was capable of manifesting each of the five elements (air, earth, fire, lightning and water) thanks to their time living in the Elemental Chaos. They were born manifesting one element at first but could learn how to manifest another element...

D&D General Psionic species and subspecies, will they make a comeback too?

Are there any giants in 5e who are psionic? It would be neat if they were, as then we could have psionic Goliaths. ;)

    D&D 5E (2024) Chance for a warlord?

Definitely worth backing whenever they come out with a new book.

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

The term will probably be swapped out with another one during the next couple of surveys and playtests.

D&D General Psionic species and subspecies, will they make a comeback too?

Currently there is a 3pp for Level Up that covers the Elan. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/411529/slice-of-psionics-the-elan-heritage-a5e

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

A 5e or a 5e-adjacent version of PF1's Kineticist class would be a better alternative here. As for the Soulknife, we need to bring back the Soulbow prestige class and make it into a subclass for the Ranger. ;)

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

This book makes psionics look more appealing.

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

To quote a certain Mentat: It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. And whose mind is in motion? The Psion's. ;) Edit: Sapho Juice...

D&D General Psionic species and subspecies, will they make a comeback too?

With WoTC deciding to make another attempt to create the Psion class, I find myself wondering if we might also see a return of psionic species and subspecies to 5e. Before 5e, 3e had psionic versions of the Githyanki, Githzerai and Duergar in its' Expanded Psionics Handbook plus several new ones...

    D&D 5E (2024) Psion Class: Green/Yellow/Red?

Green. I want to see if WoTC's Psion can outdo Laser Llama's Psion* and @Steampunkette 's Esper. :p Some 3pp designers just do better than WoTC.

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

I wouldn't have a problem using a points system for the Psion. It was used when psionics first came out and was one of the things that set it apart from spellcasting. Psionic energy could be raw and unrefined, unlike magic, and therefore require more work to produce a certain effect.

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

Back in 3.0/3.5 when all spellcasters had access to the Metamagic feats (rolling for a History check! :p), they could fool someone into thinking that they were psionicists by using Silent Spell, Still Spell and Eschew Materials with just the right spell. I don't think there were any spells that...

    A Babylon 5 reference? ;)

    D&D 5E (2024) Where to next, WotC?

Beyond the Tablelands Plateau on Athas? There was some mention way back of a Thri-Kreen empire and a city state ruled by a sorcerer king who took it upon himself to become an Avangion.

Only if they properly and carefully worded their wish in order to leave very little room for interpretation. :p

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

One of several options, hopefully. ;) Besides @Steampunkette 's Esper class, there is also the Psion class in the Voidrunner Codex from Level Up and Laser Llama's Psion class.

Level Up (A5E) Announcing A5Evening: An All Party Round Up (an A5e Youtube 'news' show)

A couple of us certainly do when we bring it up on the forums. 😀

D&D Debuts Playtest for Psion Class

I am willing to bet that WoTC will borrow the Thought and Emotion spell components from PF1's Occult Adventures for this.

D&D General Eastern Dragons in 5e

That would be nice, but it's not likely WoTC would bring back the Kara-Tur setting to 5e. For now, everyone will have to settle for a 3pp source such as Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms by Loot Tavern. As for Eastern Dragons, I would probably convert PF1's Imperial Dragons to 5e.

D&D 5E (2014) Convince me that the Ranger is a necessary Class.

Yeah, Rangers ought to be more 'bag and tag', meaning they're good at tracking down and subduing their quarry than killing them outright. If the Assassin subclass was an actual class, I could see the Slayer being a subclass that leans towards the Ranger class.
