This really piqued my interest. I'm starting a Planejammer campaign this Sunday. A few shipwrecks will fit in nicely once they begin sailing the Astral Sea.
I have no connection to this creator or Kickstarter other than backing it. I want it to succeed so I'm posting about it here...
I grew up outside a medium town of 15,000 in the Willamette Valley of Oregon in the 70's and 80's. I had to ride my bike two to five miles to friends' houses. Several times I rode around on a weekend and didn't find anyone--so I rode home.
So, yeah: I relate to Stranger Things, too.
FASA's original Star Trek RPG. We had fun, but unless you were the captain, you were practically an NPC.
In Nomine. Cool setting--especially if you had angels and demons working together. Horrible dice mechanics.
Relatively short and sweet. Nothing ground-breaking but I found it mildly amusing.

I can't get the link to work. So I put a dot in front of it.
I was in performing rock bands for fifteen years. The number of times all members were on time for a rehearsal is probably down around 5%. The number of times someone simply didn't show is about the same.
Of course there are responsible musicians, but from what I've seen they are the minority...
We had a few minis but no battle maps. So we didn't have "scale" per se. We usually left them in marching order on the table. But after I had 6 thief PC's say "I sneak around and backstab" one monster in a ten foot hallway* I started asking for more specific character locations.
*The rules...
Being a musician and having played in many bands with other "professional" musicians, I wouldn't characterize any of them (i.e., Bards) as "Lawful."
I think, in general, they're (we are) the very definition of "Chaotic." 🤟😜
We probably have different definitions of "essential." There are soooooo many great supplements that I wouldn't want to play with just the core books alone.
