Yup, I agree with all of this, and I do think that was the designers' goal. I think even back in 3E, there were folks who thought the yugoloths were un-needed. My memories of the daemons go back to 1E and 2E, where they had more of a distinct identity. That's what I was trying to capture in CC...

How would you feel about a 180-page soft cover? You'd still get all the monsters in print with a sexy color cover, but you'd get them all for around $14.99 to $19.99 instead of the $29.99 to $34.99 you'd pay for a hard cover. BD

Yup, Critter Cache VI: Lovecraftian Bestiary will be released on Monday (10/26), and will be offered for an introductory price of $3.99. The book has over 30 Lovecraftian critters, and should simplify any 4E conversion of a CoC game, modern or otherwise. BD
