Funny thread. My group of 7 players always includes a wizard. In the last six years no one has taken fly or invisibility. Just doesn't come up. I am tired of fireball but flaming sphere seems to get a lot of use at my table.

I put up a bookshelf for 1 of each mini for display purposes. Though I use them all the time. I have two tackle boxes with smaller boxes in them which I put all my undead, mooks (who stand it for large groups of anything) and groups of various creatures I like to use often. Everything else goes...

If they do it as a costly Icon Line Mini it had better be pretty big. It would be cool if it had stuff floating in it but also had a spot to drop a mini or two into also.

And always will be as long as CHA is the black sheep of the stats. Yes it has a lot of usefulness but in my experience it is the last stat thought about. I even have players taking classes where a high charisma is necessary and they will put the minimum in it to boost dex or strength a bit more.

It might be a bit heavy on the front side but I don't worry about it. I don't have problems with dipping in it for a level either. None of my players have done that so its a non issue. My group plays characters they want to play rather than cherry picking to be optimized statistics.

As long as one PC doesn't outshine another so bad the other player wants to quit or it makes gaming more difficult then things don't have to equal or balance. I think all players expect there characters to be different and be better/worse at different things. All things equal sounds pretty boring.

I would agree. I may end up with an NPC to use but if it is a throw away encounter it is a boatload of work to get it.

I only go to Wizards for book errata as it is, and only after I see it mentioned on the news here. I can't imagine they could offer anything I would pay for that they are offering now. As for a character generator. Why would I believe they could offer one worth paying for that works online and...

What's the point of killing monsters if they don't have stuff to take? I don't have to have a lot of treasure but I do like it and it does help the character along at least materially.
