To me presentation only comes to mind if it is terrible. If I don't notice it, then it is probably ok. I will say if it has great presentation it does bump up my opinion of it a bit.

In the old days I had 3 players who played two characters each. Now I have 6 players playing 1 apiece. Which I like better.

Red Box / AD&D Days - 4 to 6 years 3E - 6 months to a year but closer to 6 months.

In the Red Box days I had 3 steady players and occasionaly a 4th but never more than that. In my Red Box/AD&D mix just before 3E days I had 3 players only. No one was a DM but me back then. Now I have 6 steady players in my group and 3 of them can and do DM also.

I really pay attention to reviews here on EN World for the books I am interested in. But I put more weight on the threads here in General Discussion after people have used the books in actual play. It is the best way to get insight into how it affects the game.

Never used one and have never encountered one. I have never thought of an Aboleth as an Iconic D&D monster. It is almost silly as a monster to me.

I voted Just Right. We seem to blow thru levels 1-4 pretty quickly but it slows down from there. We arent deliberatly slowing it down it just seems the way we play that level 5 and up are not as quickly achieved. I ran a year-long campaign with the "level them up at my whim" option but didnt...

I subscribe to both magazines. Right now I feel I am getting more value from Dungeon than Dragon. Why, I am not sure but that is the feeling I have. Does that mean I will not reup my Dragon subscription? I don't know. Financially I shouldn't but I really like it.
