Another vote for Sunless Citadel. I also like Rappan Athuk, Death in Freeport and any Goodman Games adventures.

You can tell when it's game night...

That is basically how snacking works at my house. Now the minifridge I stock with rootbeer and a couple of other flavors for my players. I also leave room for the players to bring other drinks if they want. My Pepsi I.V. is normally already connected to me by game time ;)

Is it rude to offer other players unsolicited optimization advice?

I voted yes but it is only because IMO it will most likely be taken rudely. Even so it is a pretty minor rudeness violation ;)

Tell me the composition of your campaign groups

My year long "Raiders" Eberron campaign which just ended was made up of 1. A human female Artificer whose main weapon was a Rod of Wonder (DM Customized effects) 2. A human female Monk/Psion who was kick ass on a repeated basis. 3. A male 1/2 Orc Druid who liked to shapechange and use weather...

    Gaming table advice

I built a 4x8 x 29" dry erase whiteboard table last year. It is great. I then made a 40"x40"x8 platform to set in the middle of it. The Tactiles go on the platform in the middle of the table for our minis. Books, drinks, etc can go on the table. Everyone writes on the table all the time...

My Big, Fat, Colossal Red Dragon is...

Mine sits on the top of the bookshelf overlooking the gaming table. He is definately the king of all he surveys. The black is up there also but he has been downgraded to prince :p I would love a colossal Tiamat.

    My newbie mistakes in D&D

I thought giant rats and centipedes were well you know GIANT. Like 6 foot tall.

At what character level do you prefer to start play?

As a DM always start at first level. As a player I have started at 4th and 8th once each and 1st all others.

Which of these games have you been wanting to play?

I have both D20 Modern and Dune and I am sad that I will probably never get to play either one. No one in my group is really interested in them.

    Blood Wars Minis

Aye we have had Eberron Airship Pirates attack the PCs in their ship before. It was pretty fun. Hopefully thar be more piratey goodness in the future. Yarr

    Collaborative Cave!

Just to let you know I am really looking forward to running this and can't wait till it is done.

[Players] How much time do you spend preparing for one game session to the next?

30 minutes tops if I am playing a spellcaster. Anything else is under 5 minutes including getting the dice out of my bag and opening my Pepsi ;)

    Favorite non-book game aide.

Tac-Tiles for things I own. Followed closely by my minis. The giant dry-erase table I made for gaming on. Everyone writes HPs and notes on it rather than erasing on paper all day. As soon as get some Steel Sqwire Templates they will rank pretty high up there.

    Do You Take Combat Notes?

Just initiative and HPs. In the campaign we are going to start next week I am playing a Scout in Eberron who works for the Krorranberg Chronicle (SP?) as a reporter so I will be taking more notes and using it as my story submissions.
